I guess were going to find out soon if we can get either one of these guys.

Either would help the team.

I hope J. Rich knows we don't have much.

if he knows we don't have a lot to spend and he's still interested, that's a pretty good sign imo.. maybe he would take less..

I have a feeling that the Bulls will come away with one of these guys.

J-Rich would make the offense one of the best in the league. Transitionally- he can shoot the three and explode to the rim on the break. He's not the best ball-handler but he is a much better slasher than a guy like Bogans/Brewer/Korver.

Caron Butler is nowhere near the shooter J-Rich is but he is a better ball-handler for his size and is a better creator for others. He can also score in the low-post. Defensively and rebounding-wise, Butler is one of the better players in the league for his size while J-Rich is one of the lesser ones.

I'm not big on J-Rich, I rather Butler. But if J-Rich comes I guess it would be cool.

Can he still slash as good as he used to? I see him settle for so much 3s these days. I haven't seen him attack the rim since he was in Golden State.

He was never a great ball-handler but he used to have more explosiveness in his first step. That is the main reason he developed perfecting that three-point shot. The best thing he does is leap high in the air and finish at the rim when he is able to get his feet under him. That is why he is such a great transition scorer.

I understand that. But he to me is more of a shooter now. He rarely slashes and to me he isn't good on defense. Even the Magic criticized him for settling for too much jumpshots. But he does have a nice shot especially when he's on.

Last season, he made two or three moves to the rim per game. I think he is more reserved because of past injuries, but he is capable. He was also lights out from 3 in late game situations for the Magic, better than Gordan was for us.

JRich compliments Noah more than he compliments Rose. He's the kind of guy that does settle for shot, but he is really good at picking up on his teammates position in the box for second chance opportunities. It's his defense and transition game that makes him a liability. Nevertheless, with all of his flaws, he still could put us over the top.

Stan Van Gundy is the reason for that style of offense more than anything else. He believes in three-pointers/dunks. That's it. He has his team play inside-out with no signs of a mid-range game/slashing game or post-up game from anybody besides Dwight Howard (who is usually in foul trouble anyway).

I'm sure he can. I just hope if he does sign in Chicago he would go to the rim more and not just settle for the 3 like he has been doing lately.

These are good signs to me. One of these guys will hopefully land here and help the team.

I would agree with Rami that him shooting 3s has been the result of him playing in offenses that just want him shooting 3s. Especially so in Orlando where all they do is either shoot 3s or dump the ball into Howard.

Yeah so it's hard to judge because his numbers are skewed with the insane amount of 3's that ORL shoots in general.

It's the only shot they take if Howard has nothing.

That said, he shot a high volume of 3s and made a lot of them, so he'd at least fill in the shooting void that we want filled so badly. I believe he still has some hops left in him so he could slash more than we give him credit for.
