That said, he shot a high volume of 3s and made a lot of them, so he'd at least fill in the shooting void that we want filled so badly. I believe he still has some hops left in him so he could slash more than we give him credit for.

He's also been pretty clutch the last few years. I like that.

I personally feel that all the jump shooting may have saved his legs a bit. So he will have some hop in his step and flash some signs every now and then.

I don't think so. It seems like him, KG, Pierce, and Doc all have this bond that they all want to go out together as a team. So he probably take less just to stay there if it came down to that point.

Damn he'll be like 37 or something crazy like that but hes still shooting the shit out of the ball. Depending on how he plays this season, i would strongly consider it. Nice spark off the bench.

yeah.. last season while J Rich was with PHX, he attempted 4.3 shots per game at the rim.. when he went to the Magic, it went down to 2.4.

I think if we were to land him, he's go back to attacking the rim more

If we can get either of these guys,we will be in much better shape than last year. Im not sure if we will be the #1 seed again but you can definitely maybe be seeing us in the Eastern Conference Finals again.

Maybe so depending on what happens with the Celtics depending on who else will be with them the year after and what not. They will be in rebuilding mode soon so if he was to go anywhere I think he would definitely consider Chicago.

Either way...don't let both of them leave town. Get a deal done with one of them.

well no deal can be made until DEC 9th. It'll be hard to keep them here for a week without being able to talk to them haha

I was just thinking that if we get Butler, once his contract is up and hes old Mirotic might be able to fit in his spot seamlessly

Great news. If it comes down to these 2 (and I'm starting to think it probably will on Dec. 9th), I would prefer J-Rich because he's a more natural 2, with great range, & still explosive athleticism at age 31. I like Caron too, but coming off knee surgery does concern me a little bit. Either way, both these guys are hungry for a championship, & I believe will take less money to go to a serious contender. The only championship contender with a glaring need at the 2 is the Bulls. It's a marriage made in heaven for either one.

I have a feeling that the Bulls will come away with one of these guys.

J-Rich would make the offense one of the best in the league. Transitionally- he can shoot the three and explode to the rim on the break. He's not the best ball-handler but he is a much better slasher than a guy like Bogans/Brewer/Korver.

Caron Butler is nowhere near the shooter J-Rich is but he is a better ball-handler for his size and is a better creator for others. He can also score in the low-post. Defensively and rebounding-wise, Butler is one of the better players in the league for his size while J-Rich is one of the lesser ones.

Rami...you just confused the hell out of me...sorry...but for the record...a healthy Caron Butler is a better player at this point. I don't get the "nowhere near the shooter" stuff. Richardson shoots a higher percentage from long range...but that is not indicative of who the better shooter is. I believe the thinking is if they get Butler, Deng will play 2 guard and essentially, be J-Rich.

I don´t know about Deng at the 2 spot. His ballhandling is not that good and he is not shooting well enough from outside to be a "Shooting"-guard. I think with Deng at the 2 the game would be a little too slow, too much standing around.

I would prefer a quicker guard. Deng and Butler/Richardson as our 2/3 doesn´t fit well in my opinion.

Again, in the Bulls offense, you don't need to have creating ability to be our SG. Look at who we had, and look at what they did. Put Deng in Bogans's role and he probably does a lot better than Bogans did. It doesn't matter. Call Butler the SG if you prefer.

Jason Richardon is a lot better of a shooter but I think he might be the better fit purely for the offense. If I was choosing between the two, I am obviously picking Caron Butler. There is no confusion about that.

I'm finding it funny how all off season everyone was screaming for a 2-guard who can create his own shot & now all the responses are "Well it doesn't matter cuz the 2 & 3 are interchangeable in our system". Wtf? I get how our offense works but that doesn't do anything to diminish the need for another ball handler next to Rose.
