In theory, yeah, he should be completing 60%+ of his passes, but a lot of that is on the OC, too. We know that moving Marshall around and him running a slant is golden....so why do we run a fly route for a TE and a 20 yard stop for Marshall on 1st down (happened on the 1st play of the game last week)? I'd also, as many have said on here, would like to get Forte more involved in the passing game. The dude's a complete RB...we should use him as such.
Sure, and I understand and appreciate where your'e coming from...but at the end of the day, it's just football. It's nothing Jay hasn't seen or experienced and imo, should be further along than he is this year.

Jay isn't a rookie, he's familiar with Tice, Bates, Marshall, and the rest...Jay is the problem on offense.

STL he had a bad game and Detriot his game was mediocre. THAT GREEN BAY GAME is the reason his stats suck. I don't know how many times i have to say that.

But the Dallas game boosts them as well.

The defense gave up 22 points. The only TD they allowed came from Cutler fumbling deep in Bears territory. The reason the Bears struggled was because the offense was atrocious for the first 55 minutes of the game. In the last 5 minutes, Cutler finally pulled his head out of his ass and even then it was only yet another defensive TD that kept us in it.

To imply that the defense was poor and Jay was the hero is revisionism to an Iraqi Minister for Information degree.

The defense wasn't poor but Jay did score a TD and did drive the team down the field into field goal range,So both were heroes.

I don't care what happened early in the game. What happened at the end of the game when it matters the most?

As I said, the defense scored yet another TD to keep a comeback possible, and Cutler finally started playing. 5 minutes of revival after 55 minutes of garbage isn't going to cut it against the better teams we play in the second half of the schedule, and certainly not in the playoffs.

Bottom line - he needs to play a lot better and needs to be a lot more consistent.

Dude, I've already posted this in another thread. Watch the play. Smith slipped on the turf and fell down. That;s why TJ was able to make that pick 6. And it wasn't until the offense got the momentum!

Calling Cutler a hero for the Panthers win is like calling a parent a hero for carrying their kid out of a burning house when the reason the house caught fire was because they passed out drunk with a cigarette in their mouth.

No. Jay is part of the problem and no you cant just say Jay is familiar with three guys so he should be good. Tice is now calling the plays, last year Martz was but he was handicapped, Bates was not the play caller in Denver, Shanny was and Marshall is new to this system as well. Football is way more complex than that and you know it. I do expect Jay and the offense to get better when Jeffery returns and they eliminate stuff that doesn't work (like the P.A pass on first down or the one man route)

Shut the hell up, I've been a Bears fan for 25 years, and have never followed any other team, ever.

What's ''sad'' is you obviously can't look at Jay and be objective. He has played like crap, get real.

Hero like superman! Jay could have continued to play bad and then he would have been killed but he didn't so he gets the hero reward and im sorry you burnt down your house lol

So what? That's totally irrelevant. How much skill or lack of skill was involved in the defensive TD doesn't make any difference to the fact that the offense was garbage and needed a defensive score to keep them in it.

No, not really. Luck or not, another fucking FG drive would not have won that game without the defensive TD.

Okay, sure...he's part of the problem...and in my opinion, the biggest part. For the rest of what you said, I expect the offense to maintain a certain level of production, whether or not a rookie WR is in the line up or not. Jay is a vet, with rookie type stats.

Because you've been a fan for 25 years means you know what you're talking about? I suggest NOT!

Why do you want to discredit Jay so fucking bad? Why is it a sin to say both the D and O were bad for most of the game but stepped up at the end to win it? You keep mentioning how the defense let up 22 (not 19) points and the fact that they died slow by giving up long, time consuming drives meant they actually played well. I have not heard or seen one person say the defense played well ANYWHERE except for you. Your analysis of the defensive performance is solely determined by your obvious dislike for Cutler. you cry about how people call you "hater" for no reason and then make shit arguments like this, blatantly refusing to acknowledge that the defense didn't play well for most of the game only because it allows you to put 100% of blame on Cutler.

Take Cutler out of your mind for one fucking minute. Do you really think the defense played well? Seriously?

To be fair again you have zero clue what he offense would have done. They did just score a TD and could have possibly done it again. What we do know is that after the pick six by Jennings, Newton marched down the field again and his team put up three more points on the board. The offense led by Jay then arched down the field again after scoring a TD on their last drive and put the special teams in field goal range to win. You can't take that away because we werwe still losing in the 4th after the Panthers scored mick
