Except you have absolutely nothing to back up your opinion. It's really a fact that Nady sucks.

That's an opinion says my old 3rd grade teacher. But it's a fact that Hoffpauir sucks just the same.

Good for your 3rd grade teacher. Good for her.

Yes, Hoffpauir, LaHair, and Nady all suck. So riddle me this, why pay an extra 3 million for suck? Why? How does that make any sense at all?

I'm fine with them using this year to rebuild. However, Xavier Nady is counter productive to that.

Yeah, let's trade away our farm! Totally!

What about a .650 OPS is good?

hypothetically speaking of course, trading minor league prospects for AGon is not stupid if you can extend agon. prospects are prospects until proven otherwise. hence corey patterson, felix pie, bobby hill etc.

Right, but then it comes down to how much is AGon going to make? If he is going to make 20 million it might be worth it. However, anything more and it won't be worth it.

it will depend on the financial state of the team in the next couple of years. the soriano deal really has new ownership gun shy and it will continue to be that way for a little bit.

Good.

I'm happy that Ricketts has handcuffed Hendry's ability to hand out huge, unmovable contracts like confetti. Unless, you know, we got Gonzalez and then extended him. Then I wouldn't mind it too much.

Ya, good, have Ricketts handcuffed so people can continue calling him a cheap-ass. Everything he does he gets called a cheap-ass for.

Since when was Nady a below average defender in place of Lee at 1st? I would love to know. I have time to wait.

Nady seemed to do pretty damn good at D at 1B.

Exactly, I bet his fielding stats will show it too. At least in the 2nd half of the season.

What I wanna know is why the hell there is a 4-5 page argument about Xavier Nady on THESE message boards. IDC if he played for the Cubs or not. It's Xavier Nady.

Except it wasn't Hendry that added on the last 2 years to that deal, it was the Tribune Company.

Nady seemed to do pretty damn good at D at 1B.

Seemed.

They don't.

Half a seasons worth of fielding stats are totally irrelevant...

This.

But, but, but, he played good D!!!!!

Listen, if you think he played good D, then Dunn played really good D. Let that sink in. It's really not even worth looking at the stats, but so be it.
