I know Bears fans don't wanna think positive but just think how good we can be if Burton is healthy next year to go with what the veteran in Graham can do for us? A Burton/Graham duo at TE could be really good for us as long as whoever's starting at QB can play well for us.

Yes, they could both be decent receiving threats when on the field together, but I'm concerned as how they are as blockers. From what tape I watch of Burton last year, he was a dreadful blocker. More of a wide receiver than tight end. I hope we target a TE in the draft that could feasibly do both.

For the JG can't block crowd....

I still can’t get past this play. How do you allow yourself to get destroyed by Haha Clinton-Dix...

I love that video as not only is it cherry picked but it isn't all that good.

Chargers - Graham needs two tries to knock a 200 pound DB to the ground despite being 65 pounds heavier. He is celebrating this block that everyone with that size differential should make once they are able to square up a defender.

Lions - He didn't slap the guy around. In fact the defender pretty much wins this matchup as he is able to prevent the RB from cutting it up while still maintaining contain which allows the Lions D to rally.

Lions - Blocks a guy who has no idea he is there because he can't see him.

If those are the 3 best cherry picked examples of Graham's great blocking, we are fucked. All we learned is it takes him 2 tries to knock down guys he outweighs by 65 pounds, DEs can easily maintain contain on him while preventing the running back from cutting it upfield early and Graham can block if the defender doesn't see him coming. Great stuff.

Not saying he looks good there but “destroyed”? It just looks like he got tripped up.

Lol their feet didn't get tangled. He got thrown to the floor on the first try by a guy he has like 50 pounds on. Meanwhile that dude in the vid is praising him for throwing a guy he outweighs by 65 pounds on the floor on the 2nd attempt.

I can't remember who posted it and what thread but someone posted about how Burton was actually a good run blocker for us in 2018.

Well of course you love all this cause he's now a Bear and you love to see the Bears fail for some reason. While people are talking about how Graham isn't as bad as many think at blocking you like to talk about how much you love it when he shows that he can't block.

Typical Remy

The video is comical. Nowhere near reality. Also, his momentum carried him off on the Dix block. Quit Remying

I accept reality. JG has been a mediocre to bad run blocker most his career. Bears fans had no problem admitting this when he was a Packer. Now that he is on the Bears all of a sudden he's an All Pro at 34. LMFAO!

The reality is he tried to lower his shoulder but because of poor technique he was thrown by a guy that he outweighs by 50 pounds. Yes the momentum allowed him to be be thrown but that goes back to him being a shitty blocker. You act like controlling your momentum and having your feet under you when you are about to block someone isn't part of blocking.

Im not saying he is a good blocker but that is not a good video to prove anything. Clearly he didnt know the play was turning back behind him. Dix saw it and used JG's momentum . Could have happened to any player. Good play by Dix

It doesn't matter whether he knew or not. A good blocker keeps his momentum under control for the same reason defenders are taught not to overpursue. This is an easy block for him to make and he blows it. At the point of impact he is moving laterally instead of having his feet under him and exploding vertically through the block and it is completely unnecessary.

Way to remy it around to act like anyone is calling him a All Pro...Hahaha. Just sad that all you do is spin everything Bears into a negative no matter what it is unless it's something that there's really no way to spin it around. This team has one big issue that will keep them from not only being a playoff team but making noise in the playoffs, which is the obvious that we've all been talking about for the last year with our QB. We all realize (which is hard to not do since it's so obvious) that Pace took the wrong QB in that draft but at least the guy has somewhat admitted his mistake by going out and getting the best QB to fit our system that was out there in Foles who won a super bowl in this system. Now of course we can all make jokes about getting Foles cause besides that season he hasn't been much to talk about but he was the right guy to take a shot on because of his familiarity of our system.

You just keep shitting all over the Bears and R.Pace since that's what you do best and many of the rest of us will hope the moves he's made this offseason work out for us next year, if there is a next year.

Yawn, I evaluate results. I gave him credit when he got Mack and it made us a contender. I am now criticizing him for the moves that led to our not being able to sustain that success.

If we turn around and make some noise in this year's playoffs then I will give him the credit he would deserve for that. I simply have no desire to give him a blank check and presume that everything he does is great like you do.

In the end, whether I praise or criticize him is irrelevant. You spend more time crying about posters that criticize Pace than you do assessing his actual results as they play out on the field. Almost as if getting others to like Pace is more important to you than the wins and losses of the team.
