But the players like him, honestly yes ryno is the "sexy" hire. But Quade is a better coach IMO, i have watched him for years in Des Moines and he knows what the hell he is doing. I wont be up in arms if he struggles this year but in the next couple (depending on who the cubs get) i think he will be successful now if we are 3 years down the road (again if cubs get some players) and we are looking at a dismal three years then yes can him. But i bet he does fine and will eventually win you over.

Boston may not have to worry about their pen if their starters get back to form and the offense (much improved) they wont have to rely on the pen as much. And sorry Dunn is good i like him but he is not even close to crawford or gonzo.

No boubt BoSox are offensively much better, but they have 3 starters 4, theyre not the Phillies with their pitching. and vise versa, the Phils, so i see Parity one way or another

Exactly they dont expect Quade to do anything. Just develop the younsters while we cut payroll. He doesnt make me wanna go watch the Cubs, if Ryno was in the dugout, for me, then you got something.
Good story in Chicago, both side, have former shortstop ex players coaching.

I dont know about you, but every year were not "in it", is just another loser badge for the Cubs, 100plus year with nothing. I cant guarantee you that the White Sox will be in it, just like they were last year.

The Phils have 4 stud starters and blanton, the sox have 4 stud starters if they pitch to thier posibilties ... Now Philly has hamels lee and halliday... Thats nasty oswalt is good too kinda on the decline though. Boston Beckett, lackey, lester, Buckholtz and dice k. Boston is a little behind but not by a huge ammount if their pitchers come back like they can. I honestly think the ws if everyone stayed healthy and these two teams made it would be awesome with these staffs.

I know but we still are a year out. We will see what Quade is made of in 2012/2013 i dont know why he doesnt get you excited, he coached a team WAAAYYY out of it at the end of last year and they had a great record under him.

People say they won because of the lack of pressure. But I think they were still under pressure. If you didn't perform, Quade benched you. And they surely wanted to improve that record for pride if nothing else.

Yeah.. the "end of the year" thing always seems to have a flawed approach from a lot of fans perspectives..

Just because their team is out.. doesn't mean the other team isn't gonna try and we aren't gonna be pushovers.

Exactly, no pressure is just something used to ignore a team's success.
