I've gotta agree with Hughes that Pax probably should have given him a courtesy call, however, I think he's delusional in his belief that he wasn't given a chance to contribute. Del Negro was playing him ~27 minutes a game and Larry wasn't playing solid ball for a while in that role, but Larry then started complaining about not getting 35+ minutes, then he started taking his "I think I'm Jordan/Kobe" contested long two's again, and when Kirk and Lu came back, he was rightfully out of the rotation.

Meh, we have to keep in mind who this is. It's Larry Hughes. Larry effing Hughes. Could we have blamed Pax if his notification to Hughes was a burning bag of dog feces on his porch, next to a hand crafted "GTFO" package from the Bulls front office, consisting of gas money, a souvenir bulls mug, and directions to New York?

Exactly.

Not only do I not have a problem with this. I f$#$ing love it. Larry Hughes gave up on his team...PERIOD. He was brought off the bench and asked not to play here anymore because of it. If that is the best Larry can give us on his $12 million deal, then this is the best John can give him.

Mark where are you getting your facts from? Im not Hughes fan, but the Bulls the were the ones who told him he wasn't playing. He still wanted to play, but wanted more minutes. He didn't give up on the team as he still played hard, but by his own way. Disrupting the flow of the offense, and gamble for balls on defense he had no chance of getting

I was under the impression that both parties agreed he wasn't going to play and that they would look for a trade.

I know Hughes was bad and I don't like him 1 bit but still Paxson should have atleast called him and atleast wish him luck.

I don't think that was really professional of paxson - regardlesss of how Hughes played.

Maybe Paxson was just super mad and didn't want to confront Hughes??? He just texted him and called it a breakup?

I don't know, I think there is a way of doing business in which they should have called him and let him know. However, I don't think anyone feels bad for Hughes.

Still, little things like this leave a bad taste in players mouths and that goes around the league and builds up your reputation.

It's a great story though.

Not in Larry's case and Doug you know I was one of few to actually stick up for him on RealGM.

He wasn't part of the team anymore. We've heard the stpries of him not sitting on the bench or practicing with the guys and Paxson and him talked about 6 weeks before he was traded and he told him he would try and do something.

But in general yes a text is bad but not in Larry's case

LOL, that's great. John Paxson, a new media type of GM. I wonder if he notified others through his Facebook status. LOL

I know why Larry is so ticked, Pax's text said:

OMFG- Someone wants your contract!!! LOL @ Knicks...:p

That's probably why...

I think no matter how it was handled Hughes would have been resentful. He knows full well teams think he's overpaid and that the Bulls were trying to trade him. If I worked somewhere and the boss was openly trying to get rid of me, I would not feel very good about it. The NBA is a harsh business.

I think I don't mind this one so much because Larry already knew they were trying to trade him, and from all accounts wanted the trade because he wanted to play. Now if it comes out that he texted Thabo out of the blue to say he was traded, that I would think was pretty lousy.

Biggest pile of bullshit I've ever read, if you thought religion was whacked, read a few articles of this and it will have your head turning all the way over.

I realize this thread can easily turn into a debate for religion, but lets try and keep that out of here, instead lets focus on something more ridiculous. The Matrix!

I wouldn't exactly say this is impossible, but the evidence is surely lacking... even with the tens of documents they've complied. Lol!

My favorite part: "Thank you so much, Dr. Bostrom. You have proved that my psychiatrist was wrong all along."

Paging psychosis!

Without going into a religious bent, it has the same exact amount of evidence as does the existence of a god(s)

The Matrix was awesome. The sequels blew chunks bigger than Gigli. So much so that I cannot watch the Matrix again and no longer believe that we live in a computer simulation....other than xtranormal.
