It’s a tough call. Leonard is the type of player who can carry your team and make you legit champ contenders and win a finals MVP. That said, he’s played 9, 60, 57, 52, and 0 games the past 5 seasons. He’s also making 42+ mil over the next 3 seasons and will miss games even when healthy because of “load management.”

When on the court he’s one of the best in the game, but can you trust him to be available and is it worth the gamble? I’d lean towards no because I think his best days are behind him, but I can see why some would want to gamble on the upside

I told the example of a rugby teammate recovering from a snipped meniscus in 4 days, and here is an NFL QB being allowed to do it in 4 weeks by a pro franchise.

My understanding is if you snip it and the knee action or pain doesn’t improve there isn’t anywhere to turn because there isn’t an option to repair anymore.

Which is why Rose famously opted to repair and rehab costing himself 2 prime playoff opportunities.

It would be nuts to get screwed on this meniscus thing both directions in a just few years, but such is life.

I like Ball as a player but he glass and he doesnt play through pain. So, I would never expect full seasons out of him

Or to play beyond 29.

We should get Leanord AND A.Davis packaged for Caruso-White-P.Will-Vuc-Lavine

Then we will have an 18 month championship window with old guys.

Might be back in January. Let’s hope so
I'm not gonna get my hopes up, but even if he does return it's going to take him the entire rest of the season to ramp up so I wouldn't expect much impact from him

Of course, hopefully I'm wrong and he comes back amazing and everything is great

Are you ever?
Yes.. but I'm not optimistic at all about a guy who still can't run after having two surgeries that generally have a 4-6 week recovery time.

I'm not even counting on Lonzo ever playing again. Greg Oden status.

That scenario is much more likely than him coming back and being a difference maker. NOLA let him walk for a reason. AK crossed his fingers on him magically staying healthy and it worked out about as expected…actually worse since he looks completely done
