Yeah here's hoping for a Morin sighting.
this is totally scott or stalberbs fault, right joe
I think it will be Beach
Beach has been an offensive threat, and has shown good signs of maturity
I think Jack Skille will move up to the second line, he has been great this season and deserves some time in a top six role. Igor Makarov I think would be the logical person to bring up, he is a natural right wing unlike Jeremy Morin and fits a bottom six role better.
I agree with you about Skille being really great so far this season and deserving to move up the lines but Markarov showed signs during play against his own team mates then was nowhere to be found once he had to face other teams and unless he is really lighting it up down in Rockford he wont be. Beach or Morin will have the inside track and Morin playing the way he did all the up to the last game of the preseason helps his case.
If you agree with me and want Skille to see some top line minuets while Kane is out then bringing up Jeremy Morin or Kyle Beach does not make any sense. Neither of them back check particularly well and both have trouble in our own zone. Igor Makarov is the better two way player and is defensively responsible. Also not to mention both Morin and Beach are natural left wingers. I do think Morin should be on this team as a top six forward, he and Bryan Bickell are the best options we have right now on the left side.
Makarov has not shown anything that would give him any pull for a call up. If you want to stop day dreaming they will probably use Hendry on the wing move Skille up and call up either Shawn Lalonde or Janssen Cullimore. So we all can probably stop with the Beach boners and Morin hard ons also.
How am I day dreaming? We are already down Campbell and Hjalmarsson add that to Nick Leddy and John Scott struggling you're suggesting Jordan Hendry be moved to offense to thin out the defense even more. That would make even less sense. I am not claiming Makarov has worked his way onto this team yet but if Skille is moved to a top 6 role while Patrick Kane is out then we would be looking to add a bottom 6 left wing and Makarov would be the best option for that role.
Well if you need a bottom 6 LW why are you calling up somebody who is a RW?
If you read my previous posts that was mistyped, I corrected myself and edited it. You're the one who actually suggested two left wingers as replacements for the void Kane would leave on the right side. Young players are normally not very ambidextrous and with the amount of left wing lock we have be playing this year it would not work to switch a rookie to the opposite side.
