Honestly, I don't see the Bulls trading away a young guy like Deng, plus our pick, plus Hinrich whos a good bench piece and has great defense, for somebody that isn't superstar status, or who won't help wheel Bron in. Its Bosh or bust IMO. Bosh = Bron which = Championships.

I too think we need to move for Bosh first to lure LeBron in.

Anyone who thinks the Raptors are going to trade Bosh to Chicago are fooling themselves. If anywhere, he'd go to the Western Conference if it was a sign-and-trade. And even if they did, we would have to include Noah. But they sure as hell won't trade him to a team that already has enough capspace to sign a max contract

Doesn't Bosh have an opt-out clause? But I'm guessing he's not gonna use it?

So, this is just a regular trade?

I believe he is using his opt-out clause to his full advantage. He's attempting to get the max contract his current team can give him, which is larger than what another team would be able to give him, AND get traded to a contender. His leverage is that if they don't accommodate him, then he can opt out and they won't get anything in return for him.

Bosh has already laid out a list of teams that he would consider going to and I think all of them except for maybe 1 (Lakers) are in the Eastern Conference.

Bosh has more power than the Raptors here or else Toronto gets nothing. Not sure why that is so hard for some people to understand.

How do you know all of this?

Toronto would rather get nothing and save whatever capspace they can rather than turn Miami or Chicago into title contenders. He will just go wherever he wants in free-agency...

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Nebraska Cornhuskers
  2. Villanova Wildcats
I'm all for trading both, but if they have to keep any of them I hope it is Kirk. He's valuable from a bench perspective and his contract was front loaded.

Anyone have any idea this would be for if this was a sign-and-trade? :smug:
