My favorite teams
According to hoopshype, the #17 pick will make $1.3 mil. I don't know if that adds any real value in an S&T

I'm talking in terms of matching up salaries. The value is in the pick itself, not what they will end up making. But i might not understand your question.

Wouldn't they have to? I mean, if the salaries have to match up in a trade, wouldn't it stand to reason you'd have to include what that rookie makes?Im not sure if they bring that into the equation...?
I only wonder because rookie salaries are predetermined in the NBA. So say the Bulls draft Henry, but trade him to Toronto without signing him - Toronto is still obligated to pay him the salary based on his draft position.I don't think draft picks count in terms of matching-up salaries (in a trade) until the player is signed (after Draft Day). I could be wrong, so I have to plead ignorance on that one.

Ahhh, that makes senseYeah, I know what you mean. It would make sense, but based on playing NBA Fantasy leagues, I don't think it works that way. I believe any team that acquires a draft pick in a trade simply inherits the future given-salary that their pick will have to be paid (if they sign them). Since they aren't required to sign their picks... that is why it doesn't count in terms of matching-salaries in a trade..
