Dude...I like you...but this whole post just sounds like you're pissed that he's not going to the Sox.

not even close, if you were to go into the sox forum and see that for weeks I did not want kerry wood.

My problem is it is all about kerry wood, a player who doesnt care about winning. If he did he would re up with the yankees, instead he takes the easier route and stays in chicago were he is beloved by all cub fans.

again, no pressure of shit on the cubs, nyc is all about pressure and winning.

if he went to the sox he would have to field media and fan questions regarding his loyalty to the cubs.

plain and simple, taking the easy route.

Sorry Dews, I tend to disagree.

If we the Cubs can dump Big Z that will eliminate another 18 mil from this year, and more importantly next year, to go after some big name players. Let Coleman and Cashner fight for the rotation.....they proved last year they can pitch as well as anyone else in that rotation.

Dews....are you saying there is no pressure to play winning baseball in Chicago?? Are you kidding me? I would agree that the media pressure is probably higher in New York but the pressure from the fans in Chicago is comparable if not higher than any other city. There is nothing wrong with Woody putting his family first and choosing a location close to his home....which just so happens to be the place he is most loved!

There better be pressure to win...what is the differnce between this year and any other year? The size of payroll demands pressure to win. That is the difference between a casual & die hard Cubs fan....die hard Cub fans believe every year regardless! You may not believe now that the Cubs have a chance since they haven't made a big splash in the free agent market.....how big of a splash did the San Fran make last off season?

do you honestly think there will be pressure to win this year for the cubs? seriously.

Most Cubs fans are dumbass homers who will get pissed when we aren't 1st place, lol. And there is pressure if being underdogs. And you try to win no matter what everyone else thinks.

Are there any teams with a better back end of the pen in baseball?
