Steal all the way. I like a player who cares more about the team and family than money and this is all the deal. Welcome back Wood!!

Dews, do you still think it was stupid considering you thought that he wasn't worth 6 Mil as part of your argument? Or is this a good move in your mind now?

For what relievers have been getting this offseason, this is a steal. I'd rather have Wood for 1/$1.5 than Crain for 3/$13

Amen. This could very easily end up being the best deal for any GM this off season. This is such a great deal. Hendry just sucks sooooooooooooooo much

Yeah, enjoy 4th place behind the Cards, Reds & Brewers.

A steal to play for a team that won't sniff the playoffs?

Are there any teams with a better back end of the pen in baseball?

Quite a Few, what makes the Cubs back end so good? Kerry Wood, Doubt it ... Marmol no thanks ... Cashner 2-6 with a 4.80 ERA Come on

How the hell can you say No Thanks to Marmol? WTH? Best closer in NL hands down. And it isn't Wood and Cashner. They are both righties, it is Wood and Marshall. Marshall was unbelievable and Wood had a 0.69 ERA in the AL East, he'll be real good back in the NL as long as he stays moderately healthy.

Wood is nothing more than a suck up to a loser organization.

Beyond stupid.

He wants to play for the Cubs. So if Konerko could have had a larger offer before returning to the Sox he'd be a suck up for taking less money?

quit pouting b/c you didn't get him. Good Lord. This is the first deal the Cubs have made in any off-season in the last 5 years that hasn't left opposing GMs laughing out of their chair. Just deal w/ it.

At least Crain will be on a team competing for 1st place.

Plus, we needed late inning help with Putz & Jenks gone.

Ever think of that?

Still doesn't make his deal better. The sox have been a better-run organization the last few years...no one is denying that I don't believe...you still sound kind of butt-hurt that KW would rather take less money to play for the North side.
