Anyone else getting a little tired of this storyline? I was a little annoyed at his post game "all about me" interview, especially since it stood in stark contrast to DesJardins, who held his child, stood by his wife, and repeatedly thanked and complimented all his teammates and coaches for accepting him and teaching him how they roll.

And DesJardins actually contributed.

I'm happy for Kimmo. He had a great career and it was awesome to see him retire with a Cup over his head.

Dude got what he wanted after like 17 years in the league. Can't be mad at the guy for achieving his goal.

This. He's old as hell, retiring with a Cup ring. Haters gonna hate I guess, but I think it's neat. :)

Nope. He deserves to end his career with the Cup, especially considering the adversity he had to go through to even get a chance to play hockey again. He might not have liked the limited ice-time he got, but he took it like a pro and earned the respect of his team-mates and I am pretty sure they will say that he was a valuable member in the dressing room and helping his fellow countrymen know what it takes to have a long and successful career in the NHL.

And This.

He was also an awesome role model for Tuevo on a team full of role models.

Why hate on that?

Really happy for Kimo Timmonen. Not many NHLers get to realize their life long dream. Kimo did it after 17 years.

Not surprised that this fan base would hate him for that.

...as he has all series.

Congrats to Timo. Long, productive career.
When the captain hands the cup to him first, you know the respect is huge.

Only parts of a fan base that don't get it.

The OP
It was a great addition to help give a desired motivator and booster to TT.

I'm glad he was actually a decent factor in the win. He did play very well in 4-6 and was better than Cumiskey was in the final. He deserved his cup spot
