Hmm, might wanna lower the fucking prices before crying about attendance.

they do a lot of promotions to make it cheap. 40.00 if not sold out you can get a ticket and free drinks and food for 2 hours before the game under right field. its fucking sweet.

$54 to sit in the UD vs a team 20+ games under .500?

What a deal!

Oh well I appreciate your dedication, following the team even when you live a good 18-20 hours away (driving), but yeah I hear you, the tickets on the White Sox official page are ridiculous, that's why I go onto StubHub and buy there, tickets are a steal compared to the actual pricing system the Sox have.
Thanks, I used to have season tickets until I left...Sox need to step the promo giveaways as well...Iam planing on going to a game in July.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
As I said in the other thread, I don't really buy into the whole "we can't make moves unless you guys come out" thing.

If they're going to use that as an excuse to not add to the team, then they're not very serious about winning.

You know what would bring people in? Lower the fucking ticket prices.

$38 for bleacher tickets against Toronto?

:andruw:

Detroit is one of the poorest cities in America, but Comerica is usually somewhat filled up because they don't gauge people for ticket prices.

I get this is Chicago and all, but Jesus Christ. Don't blame people for not showing up to over pay for tickets for a team that could easily collapse.

I'd be willing to bet if the Sox cut their ticket prices to the point that its a 28K+ every night, they'd make the same if not more money from more people paying for parking and concessions.

If I lived close to Chicago, I would go to a ton of games. So many ways to get there cheap and any seat you sit in, is a good seat to watch the game.

But I think the biggest problem is that it isn't a great neighborhood and people are hesitant to bring family there. And spend the money for that. And kids get too antsy. Parents are taking their kids to games anymore. They're taking them to the zoo where they can leave whenever.

Back in the day a dad could take his kid and not spend a fortune so that if they wanted to leave early, they wouldn't freak about wasting a ton of money.
