The argument laid out through this portion of the thread has essentially been this-

MLB players (more specifically pitchers) see the Cubs as a team that is on the cusp of being very competitive and many will be interested in playing for the Cubs, much moreso than in the past.

Whether Price will actually be a Cub isn't the central idea, nor is the discussion about what the fans said.
