I love the duration of this deal for Gordon. A three year extension means that he can negotiate another big payday before he is seen as too old to command big bucks.

The price is higher than I would have guessed, but he can earn every dollar by continuing to be an ace at NB. He hasn't reached his ceiling yet, despite being good enough to resign early. I can't wait to see him flying around this new defense.

I’d be shocked if every first round pick Poles has made do not get second contracts too.

Generally think it’s better to do these early rather than later - I’m cool with this. Really cool with it if they can keep the dead money in the last year below $3-4M

3 year deal is perfect for where bears at.

Lotta money for a guy who has a career 76% catch percentage against.

He is super good in the run/blitz however.

I'd say so, the Bears don't have many guys on the roster through 2028. More importantly, it's keeping an X factor in house. He has incredible speed coming in on the blitz, and I think that a better pass rush this year is going to make everyone feel glad we locked him up early.

He's an impact player with a big "if." Can he stay healthy?
