Just play the waiting game until the price is less than Noah or Butler. I wouldn't trade Rose, Noah, or Butler for LMA. Maybe Butler, but not if he is included with the Charlotte pick.

I think if the Blazers say Aldridge for Butler and the Charlotte pick plus 10M in salary filler (let's just say Rip + Hinrich + Malcom Thomas) you do that deal. That doesn't make sense as a trade for the Blazers anyway though considering all the wing players they have.Just play the waiting game until the price is less than Noah or Butler. I agree if the filler isn't Deng. Losing Deng and Butler would create a major hole in the SF and swingman position. Unless we roll with Dunveley Jr at SF :smh: But then again Deng is always missing in the playoffs and shrivels like a penis.

Portland wouldn't even look at that deal, even though it's a really good one, because they're set on the wing with Batum and Matthews.
Technically, I believe salary wise you can do Deng for Aldridge straight up. I think Aldridge actually makes a little less than Deng.
As for this "gaping hole" that we'd have on the wings, wing players are fairly abundant so I don't think it'd be that hard to find a replacement. I think if we gave up Butler and Deng (which again makes zero sense for Portland), we'd take a step back this season because then we're starting Snell/Kirk and Dunleavy at the wings which is just a pretty big drop off production wise. However, we could then amnesty Boozer's contract, which actually makes sense at that point because we have his replacement in hand, or dump him for salary space next year. We could also potentially package Mirotic with someone to try to bring in another SF or something.
But that whole hypothetical really won't happen. Portland doesn't want Deng (and rightly so) and would laugh at any deal involving Boozer so we're basically stuck.

I would imagine if a deal does happen it would be the bulls sending boozer to the rockets and their charlotte pick to the blazers, the rockets send asik to the blazers and the blazers send alridge to the bulls.
bulls - rose, butler, deng, aldridge, noah
blazers - lillard, matthews, batum, robinson/freeland, asik
rockets - lin, harden, parsons, boozer, howard

yeah allot of ppl are saying butler is untouchable...i love jbuckets but if we're getting a legit all-star in return i'd do the deal
but most certainly not trading both Noah+Butler like Portland is asking tho

Yeah I'd agree Butler is nowhere near 'untouchable'. If it cost the Bulls sending Booz to a 3rd team while unloading Butler and the Charlotte pick for LA.......I'd do that in a second.
"Who would be our 2Guard?" Ummmm...who cares. We'd have LA and wouldn't have Boozer anymore.

I do think people will trade for Boozer, next year if we use amnesty on him. The trade deadline will be very interesting this year. It will tell us a lot about our future direction. I think they will deal Deng and Boozer gets the ax next off season and the Bulls may try to go all in for that guy who wears #6 in Miami(I hate to say it)

Bulls aren't going for LeBron in my opinion. I also don't see them trading Deng. They love him too much.

Oh they'd move Deng in a heartbeat if they got a half-way decent offer for him, but no one wants to pay over 14mil for him. Would you? Lu could be out months after any type of bad fall with his refusal to surgically repair his wrist and he can't get his own. He's a fair fit next to Rose, but he isn't worth more than a 3yr/25-30mil deal to another club.

If Deng will not sign an extention for significantly less than he is making now they will trade he before letting him walk and the end of the season.
