Plug in who you like then, my point remains. Smith, however, is a swing SF/PF who is a defensive player and cab create his shot pretty good. I'm also a fan of the lefties adding a different dimension to defend.

Yeah, he can create his shots very good, problem is he doesn´t hit em! :shifty:

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
This is the perfect trade for the Bulls, imo. First, we won't trade our C and SF for LMA when we already have two high priced PF's on the team. It just doesn't make sense. Also, my understanding is that the trade was for Boozer OR Deng, plus Butler and a Bulls 1st rounder. Portland countered for Noah.

The trade we've all been looking for is here. The Bulls should trade Boozer AND Deng, plus whatever picks they want to get it done. This would be the perfect trade if you ask me.
Except no one will take Boozer AND Deng. Either because they hate Boozer as much as Bulls fans do or because no one wants almost 30M in salary.

Again, plug in your new SF .... although, I'd like to see Smith in Thibbs system. I think he'd create less and cut to the rim more, but in a good way. Especially with LMA on the pick and pop with DRose and Noah passing for a big man. I think he could be real good in the Bulls system, maybe just a feeling for me, but again, plug in your guy to make my point!

I don´t like the idea to have no real shooters on the floor.

Rose is someone who is not the best shotmaker from distance, at least he wasn´t. Let´s see how much better he is now.

Butler is not that great at it either.

You then take Smith as your SF who really can´t hit the ocean, that is a team which is so easy to defend! Just park in the lane!

I would recommend to look after a SG type player and move Butler to SF. Eric Gordon, Kevin Martin, OJ Mayo for example. Dream would be Paul George but the Pacers will never let him go.

If the Bulls decide not to go on with Deng they should amnesty Boozer and bring over Mirotic. This should safe some money to go after a good shooting wing player.

How big of a cancer is Boozer to this team when we can't even consider throwing him in a trade because A)nobody wants him and B)they definitely don't want that salary. I'd give up Boozer/Deng for Aldridge without thinking twice. LMA would work so well with D.Rose and even with Noah since he has a lethal mid-range game as well. I'd pursue LMA hard, and offer anything other than Rose/Noah/Jimmy. But knowing our FO, nothing will happen.

That's the problem -- Portland wants Noah if they were to deal Aldridge, which isn't happening. The only way I could see Portland letting him go without Noah would be Gibson, Hinrich, Teague and a draft pick. And even then, Portland would have to be damn confident that Meyers Leonard is ready to step in as a starter.

I want players with Heart on my team, and imo, Noah's got as much Heart as anyone! For me, Noah is an untouchable. I think Noah is one of the most underrated players in the NBA.

You make a good point. That wouldn't exactly be the 'starting 5' that is known for shooting. LMA is a force, and Smith can score as well, but you underestimate DRose a little, imo. He came along nicely with his shot I thought. I do expect him to reach another level, however, and I expect him to come back stronger in this area. I also expect DRose to distribute 1st and then drive rim second.

I want to see DRose get others involved, but be able to take over a little late still. I think Jimmy has shown he's ready to be a shooter as well. We did add two draft picks and Dun, which adds a lot of shooting, which at least shows the Bulls are serious at spreading the floor.

I don;t agree with the SG direction at all. We already have some real good wing players, imo. We don't need more. I think the Bulls need bigs that can dominate offensively. We don't need LJ checking DRose cuz we don't have a big body that can penetrate forcing LJ on him. I want a SF/PF swing if anything. I'd love a long SF that can defend a little and shoot!

We need a wing player that can create his own shot that also has size. When Paul George was in attack mode, LeBron couldn't even stop him, only contain him. He's got the size to where LeBron's size doesn't affect him as much as it would for a player with the size of a derrick rose. If we could get someone like that we'd be good to go. I'd still gladly take LaMarcus over Boozer's bum ass too.

I agree, I'm hoping we got that guy in Snell. He's kinda like Leonard for the Spurs who I thought checked LJ tough. He's a rookie, however. I think we get too caught up on this wing shit. We need a guy who's 6'9" ish and long. He needs to be able to physically drive to the rim and shoot, imo.

We can't let opposing teams best defenders smother DRose at the end of games. We need a big guy that will force that defense on him so it frees up DRose to do his thing as there won't be any small guys that can stay with him. If teams check DRose at the end of games, then this player will be a clear mismatch for other teams.

We don't need to overpay. Portalnd is concerned about getting nothing in FA, and so this is a Gasol situation where the player is better than the price.

Boozer, the bobcats pick, and Snell seems like a sufficient trade.

This is the best trade scenario for all teams involved...

Chi receives - Lamarcus Aldridge
Houston receives - Carlos Boozer (Would work great next to Howard)
Portland receives - Luol Deng and Omer Asik

- Chicago gets their #2 scorer
- Houston gets a great complimentary player to play next to Howard.
- Portland gets a big expiring contract and their Center they are looking for in return.

How would this solve the Bulls problem at shooting guard tho? I think it would jus make it worse since Butler cant be both SF and SG and hes only been in the league one year

We're kinda screwed at SG then.

I would love to see:
Boozer, Asik, Charlotte pick to Portland
Taj to Houston
Aldridge to Chicago
