no one should disrespect you and if they do then you should put em in their place. I for one don't have to agree with you I just have to respect your opinion because no one can say they are the one with all the correct opinions and if they were they would be getting paid by some MLB team to do just that. I won't stand to be called out of my name by anyone!!!

I hate this "well if you know so much about the game why aren't you working for an MLB team?" retort that flustered morons brandish about like some schoolyard kid getting teased for not having the "in" Goosebumps book. Like the MLB is the gold standard for recognizing and properly valuing traits in prospective employees (be they players, front-office personnel or whatever else). You know who the MLB didn't employ for a really long time? Black people.

Yes, there was a time when employment in the MLB was more dependent on skin color than aptness for the task(s) at hand. And while that has since change, the spirit is the same: a lot of people (even players, to an extent) go unemployed by the MLB simply because they are not in the right position at the right time.

With the rise of nepotism among many MLB franchises and the recent generational lag from the old guard "basebally" types to the businessmen of today, many people that are able to play, postulate, write and speak about this game go undiscovered simply because of the lack of an environment conducive to them being "discovered".

So don't dare devalue or improperly weight the opinions and hypotheses proposed by others simply because they are not in the employ of the MLB, because, as we've seen, the MLB itself is not even close to being the gold standard of equality in employment based on merit and skill.
