Leno - Whitehair - Daniels - Borom - Jenkins

or much less likely...

Jenkins - Whitehair - Mustipher - Daniels - Borom

I think we ride out Leno for 2021, see how Jenkins comes along, if we feel like he can move to LT, we move him. If we feel like he's better at RT, then we either sign/draft(early) a LT. Regardless, we've addressed the QB and OL in a BIG way in this draft. I'm very impressed with both Pace and Nagy right now.

Ifedi and Mustipher seem really nice for depth, though. Or maybe the interior is going to be Whitehair - Mustipher - Daniels, and Borom will be there for depth, at least early on in his career. Either way, our interior being 3 of Whitehair/Mustipher/Daniels/Borom sounds pretty good. I'm hyped for 4/5 of our starting OL. Lol.

I think it will be a lot to ask Borom to be a starting RT right out of gate. Beyond 2021, maybe they can develop him to be that guy, but I would be shocked to see him in that spot to start the 2021 season.

So, my guess is to start 2021 would be:
Leno - Whitehair - Mustipher - Daniels - Jenkins

with Borom, Ifedi, and Bars as guys that can fill in multiple spots along the line for depth

Then, for 2022+
Jenkins - Whitehair - Mustipher - Daniels - Borom

Depth wise, maybe you look for an upgrade at Center for 2022 and then upgrading or finding a cheaper option than Ifedi as your swing tackle, etc

He's our fifth rounder. G from Mizzou.
Meh...
Should have drafted Daviyon Nixon, Trey Smith or Kary Vincent

Guys like Coward and Spriggs should not be on the Bears let alone on the field.

Our OL was soft and had no depth... now it is not soft and has depth.

It will be...but not yet.
If they are already making moves to make him comfortable, then it is his team. Andy Dalton is just there to warm the seat for a year

I wouldn't pencil Borom as the RT starter...he was a 5th rounder for a reason.
And the reason is Pace does weird shit.

I doubt this guy was going to be drafted. For sure we could have taken a top 10 safety of 2021 draft and waited for one of the 6th rounders.

He's a 5th rounder that would have been lucky to be a 7th.

Whitehair needs to find out how to play guard because he isn't putting it together at center IMO. If he can't figure it out he may lose his spot on the team.
Don't forget that he has some experience at tackle too. Don't think if he can be a hall of fame, all pro or pro-bowl LT. Think if he could be better than Leno at LT.

The same goes for every other offensive linemen on the Bears.

This is precisely the mentality that produced Charles Leno.

the bears need upgrades at guard, RT, LT, and center. One of the guys on the roster should step up and play better at center. Borom can be an upgrade at guard (maybe) as ifedi is just meh. They upgraded RT with the round 2 choice.

next year they need to find a solution to left tackle by either trading the future first or, or grab one in round 2. Borom is not going to solve the issue.

Just keep your 5th round streak going Pace...

2015, Adrian Amos
2016, Jordan Howard
2017, no 5th round picks
2018, Bilal Nichols
2019, no 5th round picks
2020, Darnell Mooney, Kindle Vildor
2021, Larry Borom

Whitehair to C and there’s a whole new right side of the line. Montgomery has to be really happy right now.

I think this has been massively proven not to work. Is that you Nagy?????

As someone who has complained about the lack of investment in the OL and how the Bears were too accepting of mediocrity on the OL, I am pumped.
How many years did Leno and Massie get 0 competition despite never being better than average? No more scholarship years for Leno, he is going to have to earn his spot.

The Bears OL has also been routinely pushed around and has been borderline soft in the run game. No more.

I like Borom, he is massive and can punish dudes. He should compete at RT which allows Jenkins to try and steal Leno’s job
