i dont hate bolland. he just shouldnt be mentioned as a selke guy.

Wasn't necessarily talking about you. But there were some people saying to trade Bolland, who has proved himself at 3C to make room for Kruger to play there and who knows how Kruger will do there. I think Kruger can be a good 3C, but I trust Bolland more.

Doan can actually play still unlike Brunette.

Let it go.

We have too much cap space...they will sign SOMEONE...so that assumption is incorrect

They'll do something, but you're dad isn't far off from being wrong.

They have 23 players already signed for next season. They could actually not sign a single player and have enough guys to start playing in October.

All of you guys that were hoping for a big splash in FA this year should probably give up those hopes. The market being set now is trending towards ridiculous and it hasn't been Bowman's style to spend big money on free agents. I don't see that changing this summer.

Trades are still possible, and the likely way that the Hawks improve their roster. But free agency acquisitions aren't going to be prevalent this summer, I'm thinking.

Note: This is not an endorsement of this philosophy, merely a prediction.

Spot on.

What you saw last year from Bowman is basically what you'll see this year. He'll sign some vets that are "tough" and maybe a d-man and that'll be it. There won't be any big name guys.

I agree. If they get the right guys, it could work. Mayers is the only one from last year that did anything good that should stay. Montador was okay in the 3rd pairing, but his brain is mush.

I'm gonna go with no chance we get Schultz and not really what we need. As long as this is about Justin Schultz.

I'd like Prust. Move Shaw up to 3rd line and have Prust on 4th.

I'd also like to get Carle maybe?

Hope Bowman could make that happen. Carle and Prust/Gaustad would be a big WIN.

That would be great too. I personally like Carle, but if Souray helps PP, I'm on board for him.

Bowman has the chance to make this a productive offseason.

Yeah. He's actually got to do it. Hawks have the money for Carl/Souray and Prust/Gaustad and that fills the Hawks needs.

I'm fine with Kane at 2C as long as Stalberg is good and maybe if Saad can come up and make a difference in case of injury.

Goaltending is still an issue, but with better D I think Crawford can be good enough.
