my wife has gone through 3. not because they are bad but she loves the fucking truck.
I have one that i used to travel in the winter to auto auctions. the one I use has 250k on it and is a 2000. runs like a fucking champ.
highly highly suggest it. let me know specs and il get you the wholesale price of the truck and what the true market value is.

I you want you wife to have the safest, best handing SUV get her and Audi Q5 or Q7. Nothing handles as well as a Quattro based vehicle

an awd drive q5 and RX300 are about the same price. If you have never driven an Audi quattro you are missing the best handling vehicle in the world. It handles beautifully in the worst weather and sterring is very direct. Best kept secret in the SUV market and dealers sell every one they get almost immediately

I agree Audi > Lexus. Plus if you put snow tires on them it will be unstoppable in the winter.

He said 2000, I don't think you can find a cheap Q5 because they didn't start making them until 2008. And the Q7 is bank.

Thats fine if you like them and all, but they aren't all that good, and they aren't my cup of tea. Plus I think most Audi models look hideous, and if someone like KIA released the same exact bodystyles, it would get a lot more criticism for it's ugliness.
Then again, I don't have a problem getting 250k+ out of my cars on low maintenance. Well, that's unfair, because Audi doesn't have that kind of reliability across the board, just a few select model and years. And Audi doesn't have low maintenance low cost of ownership at all.
But I did almost buy a 1982 Quattro for a project in the summer. Unfortunately, to restore the drivetrain could have bought me a collectors car. I still might do my Gene Hunt project car, but it would have to be a different motor/tranny.
