I started typing this as we were down by two scores so my intro has changed. Instead of we lost so there are plenty of negatives, I will be using despite some issues on both sides of the ball, we pulled out an impressive road win. There were some great developments for the long term future of this club.
Leno-he still has a lot to prove, but at a minimum it appears that we got a good value with this 7th round pick. He was going up agains 2 of the top pass rushers in the league and was solid.
Long-appears to be evolving into dominant RT that we need him to be.
Goldman-he made some plays in the back field and showed toughness that you need to be a great NT.
Wilson-he finally stepped up and looked like a starter caliber NFL receiver. He clearly has the physical abilities to be a starter in this league, but he has struggled with injuries and the mental side of the game. Let's hope that today is the catalyst to a strong season for him.
McPhee-dude is looking like the prize of the 2015 FA class. If he can play at this level all year, he will be a pro bowler, and potentially an all pro.
Grassu-he had a few rough plays, including the pressure that resulted in the defensive TD, but after that he settled down and plead solid.
Jay-With limited weapons and a good amount of pressure, Jay played his ass off. His ball security on the fumble was less than desirable, but that is a tough play. There were two guys in his face righ after the snap. If he played like this every week, we stand a chance in most games.
