What about the Newsroom on HBO? It's only seasons sadly but it's pretty good.

That show is beyond terrible.[emoji1]

You're better off binge watching a show like Gotham, if you haven't been following it.

The Americans is pretty compelling if you like action/drama and spycraft.

Marco Polo, a Netflix original, is pretty good if you like historical dramas. Vikings should be back this month, too.

For a lighter show to kind of veg out too, I like The Flash on CW. Nothing groundbreaking there, just fun, dumb entertainment.

House of Cards, season 3 should be back this month as well.

I am a huge history guy, especially the history of this country. Sons Of Liberty is excellent on the History Channel.

I just completed Starman.

Really addictive show, I didn't expect it to be so good. It's based on the movie from 1984, but IMO, the movie isn't as good as the TV series.

I loved that movie, I thought the way they ended it there would be a #2. This is the first I've heard of the series, Netflix?

Pretty much. Damn HBO canceling good shows before they've run their course.

marathoned carnivale 6 months ago. I didn't think the abrupt/truncated ending was as disappointing as many seem to think. It was expected and wrapped things up in an okay if not great way

so it stars botfly?

Yes, I don't want to ruin it for you but there's one episode called, ''Hippy Science ****** and his beanstalk'', it's about a guy who's tired of teaching middle school Science classes because the kids are stoopid and can't even use the bathrooms without pissing all around the toilets onto the floor. Bot, finally has enough and flips his shit(spores), so he uses his powers of Science to it's full potential and builds a beanstalk to a planet that he discovered and named, Planet Hippyfucker.

Not to give too much away, but he(bot) erects a beanstalk, building it under the cover of darkness in the foothills of Arizona. The ending to the show was a bit anti-climatic because when he finally arrived on Planet Hippyfucker, he found the planet was infested with scented candles and tardigrade's that pee all around the toilet's and flick off bot with all eight of their middle fingers at the same time. It was hilarious and sad all at the same time, but well worth the watch.

I thought season 1 of newsroom was fucking amazing. Half of season two good, half like wtf happened. Don't know why that show abandoned its purpose and tried to become a dramedy. Was an important show before it went to shit.
