You sound like my parents, were they nice when they told you about the power button? To each their own Ommy, it's great that you like mac but they are more money for less performance. That's just a fact, nobody is hating on you man ! I am glad you enjoy your mac and sorry that Windows pwned you.

I'm one of the tinkerers that focus more on the hardware side. I swapped out the APU in my cheap ASUS laptop about a year ago for a slightly higher wattage one. Unfortunately it seems to be prematurely wearing out components, as I've note some thermal expansion issues. Or it's the fact I've opened it several time. Anyway...

Just ordered this one on sale at Newegg. As far at AMD processors go, it's one of the faster ones in both single threaded and CPU mark performance. I know the FX line didn't do well, but it's interesting they kind of put a desktop class processor in a laptop. Plus the price was pretty darn good, so I'm excited to see how well this functions as my poor-man's gaming laptop.
