… I have a lot of respect, ironically, for many of you here on the boards. I'm as pissed as the next guy for the loss. More so, in fact, because I could not find a stream and had to follow along with the NFL network, or .com and their internet virtual, bullshit, slow, watch screen and hope that 3 and 8 turns into a 1-10 yards down… note little scrolling line. Urgh.
In any event, I'm really looking forward to Trestman's comments in the days to come. It does sound like he made, what many people are saying, a few boneheaded and stupid, let alone out right bad calls. Nonetheleast being keeping Jay in as long as he did. Jay didn't seem too impressed in the post game comments afterwards. Was he hoping that he would have been pulled? That the coach wouldn't have been trying to listen to him? Will he soon throw Trestman under the bus? Will the other players? Staff? Media? Himself?
I look forward to serious analysis of this game that seems to have been really the Bears for the losing.
Regardless, they were still IN the game with a shot to tie, if not win it at the end. That says a lot. Doesn't make us feel better right now, but maybe later…
