If a Dallas team that has had significantly more talent then the Bears for the past 5 years can't get to a SB with McCarthy, then how do the Bears expect to?
When you've only won 15 games the past three seasons I think it's better to focus on getting above .500 before you worry about the Super Bowl. Unless it's simply a thing where the Bears just aren't allowed to have a good team, history has shown that McCarthy can you get to 10+ wins and into the playoffs
He's also 61. Let's not pretend that you can't also get a succession plan together.
We know Ben Johnson can get an offense to put up some video game-like points. But he's doing that as an offensive coordinator. Can he do that while (I'm assuming) calling plays, and working on game plans on the defensive side of the ball and special teams? Hell if I know, but do you know who can? Mike McCarthy.
If McCarthy's resume read "Coach XXXXX" and you didn't know who it was, just by reading his resume you'd be ecstatic to get him to lead this team. Attach the name McCarthy to it and all of a sudden what he's done isn't good enough for a team that last won a playoff game in 2011.
