You know I would love to be filthy rich. I unfortunately think when you just have it your whole life like this you are bound to go insane.

I think human beings by nature, need some sort of challenge in survival to remain level headed, when you can just have what you want from birth, I think you are destined to fly off the handle.

I am soooooo not interested in all this Sheen nonsense. I am so over caring about celebs who **** up their own lives and careers and I am so bored with the "news" stations and publications who draw this shit out. **** me does any real news exist anymore? I like watching a train wreck as much as the next guy but when is too much too much? Who are these people that care so much that the media has to keep pumping it into out veins? There have to be people out there that just can't get enough of stories like these and that's probably the saddest part of it all.

The guy needs to be out of the public eye for his own good and everyone else.

TSD you are such a pop culture whore.

Agreed with Stu... Way to kill Two and a Half Men, no one is going to watch that without Charlie Sheen. I loved that show, but lets get real, the only reason it was successful was because Sheen was freaking hilarious. Take him out of the equation and what's the purpose of it?

At least those producers successfully did something -- they successfully killed one of my favorite sitcoms.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in that room when he was fired. Funny thing is, Sheen gets paid if the show continues without him.

All this guy has done is make him the hottest commodity and the highest risk out there. Someone is going to take that risk and it could pay HUGE dividends signing him to a movie/TV Show deal. Who is EVERYONE talking about and can't get enough of? Charlie Sheen. Even all of the sports radio shows can't stop talking about him. Right now, he's a legend.

Let's face it Charlie and Berta are the show, poor Jon Cryer, you just aren't terribly funny, sure every now and then you get one right but most of the time you are the lame sidekick all too well

I watch a lot of shitty television. I mean a lot. Hell, I think I was the only one who liked "The Cape."

But I never saw what was so funny about 2 and 1/2 Men. I would watch it every now and again but never saw why it lasted the way it did. My biggest confusion was how certain dialougue got throught the censors... on any other show they would have edited or been told to use different wording.

Tend to disagree. It's the "straight man" interaction that makes Sheen's character that much funnier. I could site numerous sitcom examples over the years of similar comic duos. Not saying Cryer makes the show but his character is important.

Don't blame CBS for canning him. Dude needs help. He must have shot into top 3 in deadpools across the country.

Don't care for the show, never really watched it, so take this with a grain of salt.

He was merely the voice of comedic writers. Anyone can deliver lines, and a few of those can make those lines their own. Become the character, as it were. In this case, I think the actor was the basis of the character. It may prove to be the downfall of the show, the firing of one of the main character. Many shows have replace a main player before and been successful. Although with him gone, the shows name will probably change. Unless.....

How about this: What about bringing in a kid, like 8 years old or so, as Sheen's "illegitimate" kid? As his character was quite the ladies man, he may have one, no? Have the kid be very similar to Charlie, in attitude and philanderer prowess. Have the kid never meet Charlie, just be like him. As if his genes were passed to the next generation.

Let's face it. The kid on that show ain't a kid anymore, and he can assume the role one of the "Men". Therefore you can keep the 2 and a Half Men title.

The way Charlie delivered in that show was brilliant. Sure he has writers, but damn I loved the way he portrayed his character.

I mean the dude played as an alcoholic with more money than God in that show and preferred to pay hookers rather than get married, all with his lackadaisical and careless attitude towards life... he basically played as himself, it was a perfect fit and absolutely hilarious to me.

I honestly don't see a better fit. Yeah the guy has problems but I guarantee the show will fail with him gone, you can't replace his character. Writers or not, it was his delivery that made it brilliant.

Also true that the kid isn't a kid anymore... I actually liked the show better the older he got though. I guess he can take on a more prominent role, he has a dumb, but witty attitude which has given me some laughs but again, no one made me laugh harder in that show than Sheen and the responses he would get from others.

Drunk, womanizing Charlie is the show at its best. the whole girlfriend fiancee thing with Charlie sucked, so glad that got axed.
