I'm leaning toward going out for game 4; head out friday afternoon, and come back the next day. checking around the web, best i can find is flights around $425 rt (that are non stop and leave at reasonable times). Anybody know of any better prices or deals?



Also, i am thinking that i am going to hold off on buying tix for that game. If the hawks happen to be up 3-0, I'll bet prices will be cheap as there will be no demand in philly to go to the game. i was in ny a few years ago and caught a game at the garden when the rangers were trailing the pens 3-0. I got super sweet seats for a little below face (bought day of game).

Update to my post above. Just found good tix by going to the us airways website. non stop and good flight times. $110 for flight there, $90 for flight back. Best i found so far.

I do a lot of consulting work out in the Philly area and one of the investment management firms I consult with just invited me to come out for game 3. I guess that makes up for the fact I'll be on the east coast in the first place and am forced to miss games 1 & 2.

You might not want any Hawks paraphernalia on your rental car or this could happen.



Sad part about it is the fact 24% of the people out there were laughing about it.



Luckily for you, rentals won't carry Illinois plates on them.

I won't be there long enough to rent a car CWolf. I've also been to the Waucovia before and these stories I've read about fans are just not true. Just be cool and you'll have no problems. For who's ever going.

I'll be driving down in my parents car with Connecticut plates, so I'll be safe. Here's my dilemma. I'm getting invited to the game by a prominent Philadelphia investment manager. I asked them if they have an issue with me wearing Hawks colors and they said "not if you don't mind being called an asshole for 3 straight hours."



Of course I don't mind that, but I do mind if people start throwing shit at me (like beers) because these guys are buying my ticket for me and I don't want to cause them any hassle.

Eh.... I've been there twice and neither time have I had a problem. It's no different from being in Detroit, St. Louis, Buffalo, or anywhere else.



Sure you'll have a bad Apple or two but again we are on the road. Be cool and 99% of the time there will be no problems. The last time I actually took the Subway back downtown Philly to the Hotel after the game by myself in my Jersey. I did not have one problem.



Which game are you going too? IHF might be going out there with me if he can get a ticket to the games.
