Gila monster like "Appreciate yall literally putting the word 'monster' in my name"

Also, how do we know he didn't gila-monster-off himself?

And lastly, why does this Gila monster get to murder a dude and go to a refuge while if a dog did the same we'd kill it?

(We do the same with most wildlife, such as bears, cougars, wolves, etc... if you go after a human you die)

It has monster in the name. It's supposed to kill people.

Imagine if they could engineer a Koala bear evolution where they have the appetite and temperament of a dog.

Sell em like hotcakes.

Had a one in a million.. perhaps one in a billion encounter a couple weeks back.

I was in the process of feeding my chickens- just dumping a coffee can full of feed for them.

The couple hens who came running all of a sudden ducked and started clucking their asses off.

I catch movement in my peripheral vision, turn and shoot my hand out and grabbed this dive bombing asshole mid-assault.

I carry him in to the garage, grab my net, and held his ass there.
I put a bag of salt on the net handle to hold him captive.

i have lost a few hens to hawks, so i really wanted to end him- but I suspected he was protected.
I Google it, and sure enough he was.

So- I settled for traumatizing him.
I let my dogs out in the back yard, went to the garage, pulled him out of the net, and walked him to the fence.

I let my boy bark and snarl at him for a good bit, walked him to the edge of the property, and released him. I have never seen a bird take off so damn fast in my life.

Put me in the same situation a billion times more, I would never catch his ass again. Blind luck.
