Did Bear06 really PM you that BNB

FWIW from twitter

yeah.

also, that trade wouldn't do much for us cap wise next season. Wright and Biedrins will make what Deng is supposed to make next season.. and that 7th pick will have a higher salary than the 29th pick, obviously. In two years, it will save us 6 million dollars if Biedrins would opt in his final year. If he opts out, it will save us 15 million.

"Brendan Gallacher is reporting that Gar Forman has offered Luol Deng + #29 for Andris Bierdrins + Dorell Wright + #7"

I doubt that GS accepts that, hope they do tho!

I have the opposite opinion. Some of you underrate the Bulls players just because they play for the Bulls. You are a typical example. You wouldn't mind having KAMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you think Noah is overrated!

Do you know what would you say if we lose Noah and our Cs are Asik and Kaman???

"Oh my god, Rose is helpless, it was nice when the bulls were a championship caliber team. We must beat the bucks to make the playoffs. We have a better team than them. They don't deserve the 8th seed. We deserve it more. We can do it!"

Luol Deng is probably the most overrated player in the NBA. Average at best on offense, semi above average on defense. We could get a huge bargin if we trade him.

deng was 7th in scoring among small forwards(in a down year for him), and he has a pretty good 3 point shot now

part of the issue with his FG% last year was that he is helped a bit by having a guy who can put him in situations to spot up

deng needed rose a bit..and rose was out for a while and that hurt him

so i wouldn't say deng is "average at best" on offense, when offensively he is,idealistically, a third option

deng got 2nd team all defense, "semi above average"?

wut?

well that is the problem, your not going to get another star and be able to keep Deng and Noah so one of them must go

Duh...

Plus one of them would likely have to be involved in the trade in the first place...possibly both.

as for Offensive Big Men available, your not going to get that in this draft...but if you was able to move Deng or Noah contract, instead of re-signing Asik maybe see what is available via free agency first (not sure how the cap works so I don't know if by moving Noah or Deng Contract, the Bulls will be able to re-sign Asik, Gibson and still go get a decent free agent)...but you can get a SG with Star POTENTIAL with a Lottery Pick in this years draft, I like Jeremy Lamb and Austin Rivers personally, some may not like them

Well as I said I know nothing about most of the prospects so if that's not an option then obviously look elsewhere. You'd probably have to move both Noah and Deng to get a quality free agent while also resigning Gibson and Asik. I think both of them will probably end up making around Noah's salary (maybe like 5M/6M for Asik/Gibson) or possibly even as high as Deng's salary combined so if you move one of them and resign both Gibson and Asik you're pretty much in the same place.

but if we had money available, it is some underrated OFFENSIVE BIG MEN available via Free Agency, I like Jason Thompson from the Kings (but he is restricted so you would have to overpay just to get him away from the Kings so that is likely out of the question, unless we can get his rights as part of a Noah Deal), also like Carl Landry who is a very underrated player, kind remind me of PJ Brown (I would rather have Landry then soft Boozer:smh:), Chris Kaman will be available, he is a All Star Center when he is HEALTHY, Spencer Hawes is one of the reasons why we lost to the 76ers in the 1st Round, had a strong series against us, he is available...but unfortunately we don't have the money to bring in one of those players at the moment but one of them to rotate with Noah or Asik would be NICE

Well we don't have money available so...:dunno:

Jason Thompson is meh...he doesn't really add a whole lot to our team. Carl Landry is better, but I think he's still got some years on his contract? He doesn't really rebound that well either, but if you keep Noah alongside him I think that combo could work pretty well. Landry is actually kinda like Boozer except he doesn't rebound as well. His offensive game seems to be lots of midrange shots...except he's not as good as Boozer. He does seem to get to the line more though, interestingly enough so I might be wrong about something. Of course, if we're trading Deng/Noah and also amnestying Boozer that opens up a lot more cap space to work with in terms of free agents so we could end up doing better.

Kaman is a player I wouldn't mind having. He's got the potential to be a virtual 20/10 guy if his mind is in the game. I think he could fit in really well with Noah because he doesn't have to be in the paint all the time to score. His jumper is super great though, but he's still shooting at a pretty decent clip all things considering. He does get injured a lot though...we already have a frontcourt that deals with injuries all over the place, but I suppose that's not a deal breaker.

Hawes is another meh guy to me. More of a jumpshooter than a low post scorer, and we already have that in Boozer. Don't think he really changes anything except he might provide a little more defense.

The problem I think is he thinks he is the #1 option, and he is not. He isnt the star. Ill take Rose, Lamb, Wright, Boozer, Noah.

Well to be fair, he IS the first option when Rose is out...Rose was out for like half the season so I suppose I can see where you might've gotten that from.

thinkin about it

that trade makes no sense

i thought the reason for trading deng was to shed salary and pick up a young prospect at the same time?

that trade were actually takin on more salary and gettin worse team wise

Trade Noah + 29th pick to Sacto for Evans + 5th pick. Waive Brewer, Korver. Don't re-up Watson. Amnesty Boozer. Kaboom -- you're saving $34 million in salary next year. Now, the Bulls have the ability to extend a QO to Asik, have Gibson sign an extension, and still have enough room to make a few minor free agent moves (would love to sign Spencer Hawes), as well as land a marquee rookie with the #5 pick. And hey, what if they're also able to move Deng? Maybe that proposed deal to Golden State (Deng + future 1st for Beidrins, Wright and the #7).

Rose/Evans/Barnes/Gibson/Hawes with Butler, Asik, Lamb, Wright and Beidrins off the bench? Sure, why not.

You might be underrating Wright a bit...he's a lot better when it comes to shooting and he's not bad as a defender either. At the same time though, I don't like Biedrins at all. I wouldn't want him in a trade...he's pretty much a rich man's Asik.
