thinkin about it

that trade makes no sense

i thought the reason for trading deng was to shed salary and pick up a young prospect at the same time?

that trade were actually takin on more salary and gettin worse team wise

Short term you are taking on slightly more salary But Biedrens and Wright both expire before Deng's deal does PLUS those two contracts are easily moved in deals than Deng's singular albatross of a deal. There's more flexibility in making subsequent moves with those two than there is with Deng's one deal. These trades aren't always made with the mindset of keeping the guy forever, there are future considerations and strategies to keep in mind as well.

You're looking WAY to small of a picture here.

Plus getting the #7 pick overall is a nice piece for the Bulls to pick up as well from the "young prospect" point of view.

it makes alot of sense

you add more salary..but the deals are shorter and you have more flexibility with them, you get some big man depth

you get a guy like dorell who can really shoot the 3 and spread the floor(though is not good on D..but that might be because of the system he was in)

to boot you get a top 10 pick which you could use to get a guy like lamb at SG

plus, you could always release a few guys:shrug:

lamb or rivers would be fine picks

rivers can create his own and drive and is arguably, out of the three, the one with the most offensive potential

Not a bad deal. I think there are better ones available. I'm still not totally opposed to a trade with Toronto for Calderon & the #8 either. Should be an interesting draft night. I get the feeling there's going to be alot of player movement this year.

every draft I get excited thinking the Bulls will make a move...AND NOTHING HAPPENS

don't get your hopes up, Bulls are not going to do anything but take the player they like at #29 (I hope I am wrong though)

^ This.

My gut tells me we stand pat & do nothing. We will wait & see if we win the coveted "Brandon Roy Sweepstakes". That will be it for big free agent moves I expect. :puke:
