They both are similar when it comes to scoring

Deng is the better defender

Kukoc is the better passer

Rebounding is about even

Kukoc is more versitle

Who would you choose? Who would be more succesful if they had a franchise built around them?

man this is tough i love kukoc's ability to go inside and out tho

deng is a great player and defender(and a dukie:)) and a lengthy small forward at 6'9..but he doesnt have the inside-outside ability that kukoc has

its close..but im going with kukoc

I'm gonna go out on a limb here. But after watching the heat and bosh, I feel kukoc is very similar to him talentwise. Their skillsets are different. But if kukoc had a few more seasons in which he was able too be the man, he'd avg 18/6/8. Not far off from bosh.

I don't think Kukoc is as good as Bosh, look at Bosh's numbers in Toronto, not in Miami. That said, Kukoc could hit big shots and that is a good attribute to have. He was a better ballhandler. I think Kukoc was the better ballplayer...

I'd go with Kukoc.

Not sure if this means anything..but Kukoc won a 6th man of the year award...I'm not sure Deng would ever do that if he was a bench player. Really different skill sets but if I'm taking the player in their prime in a vacuum I'll take Kukoc because he was the much better player skills wise IMO.

His defensive shortcomings aside Kukoc IMO was the better shooter, ball handler, and passer. Deng was the better rebound and better defender(easily) but I don't think that makes up for Kukoc having better overall skills

Kukoc. They both have/had a tendency to space out on you, but Kukoc's trips into space were shorter and less frequent than Deng's are.

97Bulls wants us to come to the conclusions that the 97 Bulls supporting cast is better than 10-11's :shifty:

I always saw boshes numbers in toronto as a product of him just being on a bad team. Kukoc put up similar type numbers in his only year as the number 1 option. And he was more of a pg type player. Chris bosh is really overrated.

Tough call. I like both of their games. Luol has Rose with him. Toni had MJ and Pip. I think given that situation....Deng has much more responsibility than Toni had. I think the 90s Bulls still win without Toni. Today's Bulls havent won yet but I doubt they'd even be close with out Deng. I wouldnt argue if someone favored Kukoc but for me its Deng by an eyelash.

I take Kucoc on versatility alone. Plus he could actually handle the ball and create his own shot for himself and for his teamates kind of like a point guard unlike Deng who has to look down at his feet when he dribbles and seems scared to go to the basket and finish with a dunk or layup..His passing ability was like a poormans magic johnson.....Deng and Kucoc are both good defender...Kucoc could play powerforward, smallforward and run the ball like a pointguard like a poormans pippen.....And as far as clutch performance, Deng has nothing on The Croatian Sensation....

Why do I get this feeling that this is turning into another 94 vs 2011 post??
I feel like I created a monster...:obama:

Oh and by the way, the 94 Bulls beat the 2011 Bulls garenteed just in case you need to know...

Kukoc has never put up the same numbers as a 6x allstar PF. Simply because he is not as good a player. Kukoc would never demand a max salary based on what he did in his career. You overrate Kukoc quite a bit by making that comparison, I disagree strongly...just my opinion.

I actually agree heff. Bosh has better stats than kukoc cuz he was able to play a bigger role on a bad toronto raptors team.

What do you think kukocs numbers would look like if he were in boshs role?
