would of been better then what we received.

one positive thing about this trade is that we now have even more picks that we can offer in a potential future deal. We have our pick, the bobcats pick, now two more future 1st round picks.

But yeah.... Overall, this deal is nothing to get excited over.

the only positive thing about this trade to me is the swap-able picks in 2015 if swap-able though, not protected.
Worse thought is Deng about to really turn into a better player soon.

I don't think Deng is gonna become a better player. He peaked a couple of years ago imo. I think he'll stay at the level he's at now for a couple of more years and then gradually decline.

the positives are

our "draft positioning" will be better, the front office has moved on from Deng (it was time too) and we wont be resigning him to a deal for 14 mill per

was hoping to get a little something better but oh well

Well, that plus once they waive Bynum they'll save some money and should be (somebody might know more about this) under the luxury tax. Luol is still an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year, so it's not an impossibility that he can return soon.

Hahahaha imagine that.

I don't think it'll happen though. I read somewhere about a month ago that Luol was looking for 12-13 million a year while the Bulls thought he was worth about 7-9 million a year. Or they were hoping that's what he'd accept. Cleveland seems to like him a lot, so I'd imagine that they're gonna try to extend him asap.

And yeah, we'll get under the tax when we waive Bynum.

Yeah, I'm not upset that we traded Deng. I was on board for trading him. I'm just surprised that this was the best they could get for him. I guess other teams also didn't feel like Deng was worth what he is seeking.

Hopefully this trade helps Cleveland jump Charlotte and push them out of the playoff race haha

Once again...Bulls don't have max money to sign Melo in off-season even if we let all of our expirings go and amnesty Boozer.

No longer have the ability to match salary with the Knicks either unless we trade Boozer or Noah and that's not going to happen.

Melo definitely ain't coming here now with Deng gone. We need to use him in the trade. Just traded Deng for 3 2nd round picks because that SAC pick will probably stay protected until 2017 and then they just have to send a 2nd round pick to us. Also, lost our shot at trading for Melo.

Horrible.

LOL, Dude, trust me....if Melo wasn't coming here...Bulls knew that already. If he is...he still is. This trade isn't going to stop that from happening. The way your post read, the Bulls just stepped in a pile of shit...I don't think so. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing. There are many ways, loopholes available to get the cap where the Bulls need it to be.
