Actually that sorta what Chili Davis preaches...Looks like he is purposely going opposite field. Obviously, this is a phony video

Schwarber, unlike several other Cubs players, is not a dead pull hitter. He does specifically hit to LC gap with authority.Looks like he is purposely going opposite field. Obviously, this is a phony video
He hits to LF by accident when he swings late, not on purposeSchwarber, unlike several other Cubs players, is not a dead pull hitter. He does specifically hit to LC gap with authority.
Wrong post is wrong. He hits to LF by accident when he swings late, not on purpose
nope, sorryWrong post is wrong.
Doesnt mean he was purposely trying to hit to left field. If you are swinging late on pitches 6 inches off the plate it's going to LF.I'm not one to talk about hitting mechanics but I'll add what I am good at. Among cubs with 300 PAs last year the players with best Oppo% sorted descending
1 Jon Jay - 35.2 %
2 Albert Almora Jr. - 27.5 %
3 Kyle Schwarber - 25.4 %
4 Addison Russell - 25.3 %
5 Ian Happ - 23.7 %
6 Kris Bryant - 22.5 %
7 Javier Baez - 21.9 %
8 Anthony Rizzo - 21.8 %
9 Willson Contreras - 20.9 %
10 Jason Heyward - 19.8 %
11 Ben Zobrist - 17.6 %
And because I was curious myself league average for Oppo% is 25.3%
