That is a big girl. I don't know of many male APBT's that big that is awesome bro. They really are giant meatballs of joy haha nothing better than getting home from work and seeing my boy going crazy.

For sure haha. Yeah she could stand to lose 10-15. She's put some extra on after tearing and ACL. its incredibly hard to manage her exercise because of the arthritis build up associated with the tear and her crazy threshold for pain. Funny though, most of the weight went to her chest and shoulders and not so much in the waist. Her triceps are Massive.

It is sad because she used to be so incredibly agile and explosive. At the age of one she would bound over my 4 1/2 ft privacy fence from a sitting position. So I built it higher with chicken wire, of course she would just dig under. Total escape artist but she would only do it when I was gone because she didn't like my roommate at the time.

Blasted through my screen window once to hop the fence and go looking for me lmao. She was a handful but always came home when she heard my car pull up. Knows that exhaust sound like the back of her hand. I had numerous phone calls from the MP'S when I lived on base saying your dog is loose and we can't catch her. Now I never have to put her on a leash. She won't leave the yard unless I say its cool. We're not fenced in any longer.

She still has separation anxiety but nothing like before.

My ex GFs gs, duke, scared the **** Outta me. But he was my bro and I used to take him on walks. Terrifyingly huge, but such a friendly dog to me.

As for my cousins white German Shepard.. Damn thing was a nazi dog. Pure white. Legit bit 2 kids in neighborhood, killed a cat and almost ripped my cousins husbands best friends jugular open. It went after him when they were playing a video game and he shoved my cousin in law(what ?) jokingly. Harry went right for his neck. Just nicked it Bc husband geavbed him. Went into full shock.

Harry also tried breaking through two glass doors to get to me when my husband was just showing me the new house. Dog was fuckint nuts .

They took him to a "farm" in Wisconsin.

Same here with my guy. I've been doing some separation training with "climb pads" which are very useful.

Temporary separation is all good. But when I'm out of focus from him for more than a minute he gets super anxious.

How have you guys worked with this to alleviate the anxiety?

Back to dogs in remembrance of DaaBears loss.

here is a a foster we had a year ago. We only had him for 2 months, but, damn, it was hard to see him go. I never had a greyhound until this foster. They are great...well at least this one was. I would urge people that want high-energy couch potatoes to get a retired greyhound. They sprint like crazy and then are just giant cuddly dogs. They have tattoos in their ears to look up their bloodline and race history. This guy won like 3/4 of his races and then was kicked out of the leagues for nipping at dogs during races. Badass. He would not hurt a flea after he was out of racing. So docile and loving.
