Very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Olde English Bulldogge to lymphoma after he just turned 2 years old. Still not over it. Lost my French Bulldog recently to a bulging disc in her neck.

I am fortunate to have a beautiful 8 month old American Bulldog and I hope he is around for a very long time. There is nothing worse than losing your best friend.

Had to put down my own dog years ago. Had thought it would be a calm merciful end after seeing him throw up so often and failing to even eat when being fed by hand as I had to do for the last several months after he got sick. Incredibly sad day.

One of the weirdest things I'd ever seen was with my best friend's dog that died recently. He was an older dog and my friend had pointed out this huge hole he'd been digging. The dog had access to the back yard through a dog door. Later that same week, when he got home from work, the dog didn't come to him so he went looking for him. The dog had dug his own grave and lay down in it to die.

Lost my dog to lymphoma as well, he was only 4. Still not over it either. Went the chemo route, it seemed like it went into remission...but then it came back.

That's sad. I need to leave this thread. My golden is getting up there in years and I know this day is coming much sooner than I want.

It is the worst to lose a dog, it just guts you. I had to bury one a couple years ago and I still miss her everyday, she got blind towards the end but she always knew when I was around. My sympathies go out to daabears.
