Which offense is more impressive to you so far and which coach would you rather have for the Bears after seeing them in action?

Chip Kelly is being far more productive so far but he has the personal to fit his scheme right now. We don't for his scheme. Trestman is perfect for the people we have on offense.

There is something telling about a grown man that still goes by the name "Chip"..I knew 1 kid nick named "Chip" when I was growing up,and he stopped using it when he turned 10.

Chip Kelly's offense is pigeon-holed by the people running it. It requires a very mobile QB that is going to take some shots when he runs......that won't last.

Why is this thread Trestman vs Kelly? Shouldnt it be Trestman vs McCoy or Trestman vs Arians? I know both Arians and McCoy were in the talks for possibly being our new HC but never once heard anything about the Bears organization wanting Kelly.

Because Chip Kelly is the hip flavor of the month?

Or because we play the Eagles?

Or because the OP couldn't come up with another first year coach?

(pick one you like)

Haha so we might as well make a thread for each HC we play then because it is as insignificant as this thread. It would make sense if you compared Trestman to other coaches we interviewed for the job.

Chip Kelly's offense has been impressive, but Kelly has the personnel in Philly to run his offense, namely Vick. Trestman is a great choice for the personnel we have on the Bears. (I agree with Chad-thomas89)

I don't even remember the Bears considering McCoy and many people probably don't even know who he coaches over there on the left coast. As for why I made the thread Marc vs Chip... TNF tonight and I would bet everyone that follows the NFL has heard the constant buzz about Chip and Eagles so I wanted to see what other Bears fans thought about it in comparison to what we have.

Kinda like how we compare our players to other players, I keep thinking I'm on a messageboard and its ok to ask general questions I would ask any random person at a sports bar, I need to remember that I must follow the CCS protocol and only make posts and comments that measure up to the standards of brilliance approved by the masses.

Chip is bring something fresh and new to the league. He is doing it with reckless abandon without trying to conform to what is the norm in the league. The fact that he has the balls to attempt something so out of the box is IMPRESSIVE to me.

That said I think that Trestman's offense is something that works with our personnel much better. I have been impressed with the Bears O the first two games.

The obvious option is missing, it's too soon to tell.

Trestman knows right where to hit a guy! He's a genius!

Thanks! I've gotten pretty quick with my MS Picture It program. Found decent pics on google pretty quick too.

What's even more telling is:

-Grown men that refer to Walter Payton as Sweetness

-Grown men that wear Bear's Jerseys

-Grown men that go to Bear's training camp without children

-Grown men that ask other grown men for their autographs

More than telling, it's downright creepy

HC isn't just about offense. He's about the whole team. Bears have the better team.
Good point, but I think both got the HC job based on their offensive ability and if Marinelli wasn't a dumbass Trestman would probably have more of a reverse Lovie Smith role. I think Marc Trestman's Offense has been more impressive because of how much improvement I see. I think the Eagles were already pretty good on offense with Andy Reid but when their O-Line was all injured they fell apart. Just because he is calling plays fast isn't that amazing to me, but he has done a good job improving how they communicate the plays to the whole team so that the defense doesn't have time to adjust.
