I was wondering after seeing all of the threads about Alshon and the fact that he's made Brandon Marshall pretty much expendable, and seeing that Earl Bennett is probably done producing for the season (let's face it, Trestman put those incentives in his contract like he did for a reason, he knows Earl is just kind of a here and there kind of player) do you guys think we see more of Marquis in the final couple of games? The kid isn't afraid of going over the middle because he's not as fragile as Earl and we really need a slot guy to replace Marshall when the Bears let him walk with Cutler next season. Seems like a pretty good plan to see what this kid has got.
ooohhhhhh.......

hahaha guys, so I guess you just want the bears to keep fielding your favorite players forever? It doesn't work like that. That's why there's the draft. I'm just saying there is a REASON why Marquis is on the 53 man roster and Emery and Trestman know better than a bunch of armchair GMs on a message board.

Depth and development?

Marshall has already said Wilson's nickname is smoove because he is so smooth on the field. He will be in the slot next year with two monsters on the outside. Also, Marshall that the db's for Detroit were complaining because Wilson drove one of them into the ground while blocking so I think he vacant block just fine. The interview was done after the bears lost to Detroit and he filled in for Cutler on the Waddle and Silvy show.

Maybe after Cutler and marshal leave this offseason we can use mills and long as trade bait, cause britton had been solid and proves any of our guards and tackles are expendable... since we are second in scoring offense we can afford take some production away from that side of the ball and add it to the defense, I mean why do we need TWO PROVEN BEASTS AT WR, afterall there is only one football anyway

The thing is, Marshall needs to be with Cutler and if he isn't, he will start having episodes again and the Bears can't have that destroying Trestman's locker room. Cutler is probably not going to get a new deal. I figure the silver lining is the Bears get rid of two big contracts so they can reload our abysmal defense with premium talent. With names like Jarrad Allen available this offseason, we could really transform the D line so Conte and Wright play better. ALL I'm saying is that if the Bears already have the young (and not injury prone) offensive talent on our roster that can get it done in Trestman's system, why not try to become more of a complete team and spread this money around?

but how do - or can - you know that Wilson isn't injury prone? i mean, he's hardly played.

Exactly my point. He needs to play. We all know marshall is one hip injury, one mental collapse away from the old folks home.

Lol, No one blows you on this board. I guarantee anyone on this board could pound you out like the pudgy little red headed step child we all know you are, cup cake.

You're right ruffshod usually it's just your mom and I have to remind her to take her teeth out. Just remember that the next time you kiss her on the mouth.
