I think I'm on good mod terms. You guys antagonize me. I merely wanted to bring about bear conversation

I can't wait til you are banned perma

bro I'm cool with everyone here (including you) so it's not cool to wish a permaban on a future-HOF CCS member. We're all bros here. HHM brings plenty of Bears discussion to this board, he just seems to have a Welson obsession. Some posters like certain players more than other and I think HHM likes Welson the most.

I say we bro hug this out. I just got back from tubing and jet skiing this weekend at Lake Manitou (srs, I even made a thread on it) and it was a lot of fun. First time ever riding a jet ski. had a blast. now I'm sunburned and see this CCS hatred. I just wanna sit back, heal my skin and see some CCS love from all the members here (Except a certain dramachicken mod).

Forgive and forget bro?

It actually might makes sense in a weird way.

Yes, Cutler sucks. But his bad passes and reads ultimately have little negative effect on his receivers when he's asked to throw in bunches and targets only one or two guys. If you're one of those guys (say, Marshall), I could see how your years with Cutler would be super productive for you.
His 3rd WR had over 500 yards that year, Sheaffer 645 and the other TEs over 500. It doesn't change what Jay is but it also doesn't indicate a focused distribution beyond what you'd expect from the talent.

I hope he has a bigger role this year.

He certainly has all the talent to be a contributor to the team. He was thrown off track last year and never did get quite back into the groove. Hopefully a complete training camp without issue will help him realize his potential.

First, quickly look up why he slipped to the 7th round. Then, never bring that up again.

Second, when you know where a player's "top" is and it's not that good (as you noted) like Royal, and have potentially a high-ceiling player, and these 2 players are vying for #3 and #4, you should at least find out what you have.

If we were talking about these two players as our #1 and #2, it's probably a different story. But when you have the luxury of having Wilson and White as your workhorses, a team would be wise to really spend the time (especially in what is likely a complete shit season) to get a lot of looks.

lol stop it. If he had that much talent, no matter what he did(yes he quit on the team); a lot of players with worse rep sheets still get drafted highly. So stop.

Wilson hadn't done shit

I watched the Eddie Royal highlights from last year (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZymIy90W-wM). That move he puts on at about 1:00 was embarrassing for the DB, but then after that on the same play you see he doesn't have the speed to split it and take it to the house. He's very, very shifty. I don't see a lot of stretch the field break-away speed, but he's very quick. As others have stated, I don't think he and MW are the same type of player. As much as I'd like to see Kevin White come in and start, it might take some time before he makes the transition to the pro game. I think MW might even start off the season on the other side of AJ until KW makes the adjustment. Then again, KW might just come in and shock me, which I'd love to see. He reminds me a lot of Julio Jones.

In any case, with Zach Miller returning, I don't see this offense lacking weapons.

If Wilson fixes the dropsies (& not a problem in college), strengthens his frame (& learns to minimize hits & hit force), he's a great prospect. I think he has the elite fluidity of the greats. Besides that he's got the star WR ego/attitude driving him, quick breaks, nice after-catch moves & speed (despite his 40), and he's 6'4" to boot.

That's possible (Wilson starting outside). It's just a guess, but I think White won't need a transition period. Actually, flip-switchers usually keep that ability & skill (White's ascension last year.) Plus White is pure muscle, top line speed & a fighter. We want to stretch the field, and only White can do that for us (Wilson can't).

Wilson can play outside, like Jeffery, they just both don't have field stretching speed.

Unfortunately for Wilson, with Jeffery, White & Royal, Wilson won't get to see playing time unless an injury happens. I think Gase gives him 20% slot (likely red zone), 2% Outside, for prep.

I wonder which preseason game Miller will get his annual season ending injury in?

If White can catch a football, he will be ahead of Wilson.

Well he certainly doesn't have a history of staying healthy, but 1. He's a Bear and 2. He's got skills. I'm going to hope for the best.

No doubt, he has been very impressive when playing, just wish he wasn't made of glass.
