Rocket surgery is a joke but i guess you dont get many jokes under your lonely cave.
Sure................

They brought in Ben Wallace a few years back. Not exactly a great idea but he was a big named FA.
We really want to go down that path?

This team overvalued some mediocre talent instead of trading for guys like Gasol but all of that doesnt matter.
It does when evaluating this front office and their competency.

They obviously have big plans this summer, being that they traded Salmons to make cap room and didnt resign Gordon for a ridiculous 11 million.
Which I gave them credit for.

They are doing a fine job with this team and i dont see the point of going into every thread with bitter posts of pessimism.
Pessimissm/realism.

Pessimism is not realism.

Realism? Really? You act like there arent possibilities when many NBA talking heads believe LeBron is going to Chicago. Thats not realism, thats pessimism. The fact that you go into every thread either blowing off this idea or ripping this player or that FO suggests that you are just another bitter Chicago fan.

And yes, lets go down the Ben Wallace route. Big FA brought in, despite what he did(or failed to do) with this team. There goes that argument.

First Timer must have had season tickets when Jordan left. He still hasn't gotten over it.

FirstTimer is another breed of Chicago fan. He doesn't feed into the hype, or give false hope into things that might happen. When they happen, he'll be more then happy about them I am sure.

I am all for bringing in LeBron, however I don't want to feed into it too much as to suffer a HUGE let down. I know if I did, id' be crushed.

And a year ago these heads were saying New York....

Then New Jersey....

Now Chicago....

Does Chicago have a shot? Yes.

IMO they have the best chance behind The Cavs based on what they have to offer.

But it seems everyone around here is already assuming and jumping to the conclusion this James thing is a done deal. It's not. A lot can change in a month and a half.

The fact that you go into every thread either blowing off this idea or ripping this player or that FO suggests
Sorry but this FO deserves to be ripped. They don't get credit for falling ass first into Derrick Rose...but they do get credit for freeing space to make a run at a big time FA. Overall though the Gar/Pax era hasn't exactly been that great and forgive me if I'm not sold on them all of a sudden being intelligent.

Ben Wallace is small beans compared to guys like James, Wade, Bosh, Dirk, etc that are out there this season and is no where near the player they are. Wallace was a one dimensional clown and an immediete locker room cancer.

I think everyone fully realizes its not a done deal yet. But when you have a lot of seperate sources pointing to the same thing and youre doing what he's doing, its overt pessimism and not really realism at all.

I am the same exact way, ever since dethroning myself as a Devin Hester WR homer, I see things as you see them.

Chicago sports fans are really in a position to be pessimistic.....especially Cubs fans. If they bring in LeBron, I will be the first guy to go out and buy a jersey.

What year was Rodman signed by the Bulls in free agency?

I never said he was a free agent signing. I said he was acquired. Do you have trouble reading??

You're ripping the FO without giving them credit where credit is due. And I am asking you. Did you or did you not like the Dennis Rodman acquisition?

Notre Dame wouldn't give Stoops the academic exceptions, that's why Stoops didn't come. ND screwed up. But they had a chance to get him, they just didn't.

Like I said, I think everyone fully realizes its not a done deal yet. Youre really not accomplishing anything by getting in everyones faces. You could simply avoid the threads. Again, we all know its not a done deal yet, so your pessimism isnt really serving a benefit.

Ive only seen two people around here saying its a done deal, the rest of us are just holding out hope. No, not false hope and not pipe dreams. And you cant compare last years New York talk to this year. Your comparisons seem to always be apples and oranges.

You said the FO never brings in any big FAs and Ben Wallace is one of them. Small beans compared to the guys this year? yeah but so what? Thats not the point. Either just admit you were wrong or say this FA sucks because they could never find a way to lure in a MVP like FA, because we know that happens all the time...But this time theres a possibility of it and a good one at that.

Keep ripping the FA for failed attempts years ago. All i know is right now they are doing everything they can to improve this team, despite your bitter pessimism. You dont buy into any of the rumors or speculation then fine, give us a good reason why. Dont blame FA for something that happened a decade ago and try making off based comparisons.

Then why would you post it after highlighting me asking about a Bulls free agent signing?

Do YOU have trouble reading?

I HAVE GIVEN THEM CREDIT IN THIS VERY THREAD.

And I am asking you. Did you or did you not like the Dennis Rodman acquisition?

Yes.......................but that's not the point..seeing as he wasn't a free agent...and that's what my post referred to.......pud.

What about pie dreams?

That is the point.

Because it's speculation...

Remember the Bob Stoops era at Notre Dame?

.Dont blame FA for something that happened a decade ago and try making off based comparisons.
I have given you examples of this FO fucking up as few as 2-3 years ago...Gasol etc. Deng's contract....Hinrich's contract...
