Not a good day for the Cubs overall. Understatement of the night.

I wonder if we want the Astros to win tonight, or for the Padres to win so the Cubs can at least get back towards the #3 pick...would have to look up the standings real quick.

Clevenger is pinch-hitter. Hmmm, no pinch-runner for Soto.

Luis Valbuena is developing Alex Gonzalezitis where he only hits in clutch situations.

Marlins bullpen sucks. I guess I shouldn't be surprised when Chad Gaudin is being trotted out there.

Jeff Baker doesn't want to be a Cub for much longer.

DeJesus's bat is too fast for Choate's stuff. Very generous strike 3 call.

By record it's true...Doesn't make this a good team, but part of the beauty of baseball that even bad teams have stretches like this (minus tonight provided no comeback).

Last pitch to Rizzo would've been ball four had he not swung. Way low.

That is what I thought watching it, but wanted to make sure. He had a good take on the 2-1 pitch to run it to a 3-1 count, and was about to comment about him finally showing some of the patience I was expecting. And then that swing.

If Castro gets hurt I think Valbuena has to play SS and Soriano might come in to go on a 2B-3B cha-cha with Clevenger.
