That is what I thought watching it, but wanted to make sure. He had a good take on the 2-1 pitch to run it to a 3-1 count, and was about to comment about him finally showing some of the patience I was expecting. And then that swing.
Felt like he probably should've taken it as he can't get an out on strike two.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. Seems really aggressive right now. Results have largely been there, but starting to worry if this is pattern.

Really are we out of infielders at this point?

Yup. Barney was double-switched out, Mather didn't stay in the game after pinch-error-ing and Baker is now out.

Soriano playing 2B would be hilarious but apparently Clevenger has played some 2B. Not sure who would play 3B in this scenario.

When Lou was still managing he had Baker and Soriano do the 2B-3B cha-cha. It'd basically be a makeshift defensive platoon.

Clevenger came up as a shortstop if I'm not mistaken so you'd definitely want Clevenger and Valbuena in the middle infield spots in an emergency. I think Soriano could handle the hot corner and at least keep balls from bouncing into the outfield.

Yeah they probably would put Sori at 2B or Reed can play 3B.

On the broadcast they say that he has played 2B the most in his pro career.

The interesting thing was that even in a blowout game, Tony Campana never saw the field but Sveum wasn't afraid to keep both his catchers on the field at the same time.
