I loved Mike Brown, but all you guys saying this almost brought you to tears? Seriously? There are starving and persecuted people all over the world and nobody gives a shit but you cry over a multi millionaire who didn't get to play in the Superbowl?

Sometimes the priorities of people really bewilder me.
True, but we aren't on a message board for starving and persecuted people. We are on a Chicago Bears message board. Maybe instead of posting on a message board, you could spend the time it took to type that and use it to help them. You, with all of your priorities in order.

Was it something I said? Mike was a fine player for his first 3 or 4 years but after that, pretty much nothing but a permanent resident on IR but the ass kissing continued forever and I never understood it. You people need to move on and stop all that wimpy lamenting. This man got rich for doing little more than watching games from the sideline. He requires no pity no matter how many tears he, himself, sheds over the fact he was so injury prone.

Did you get the attention you so desire on this thread yet? If not.....here it is. It's funny how you don't understand the Mike Brown "ass kissing", you seem to embrace it with Bearmick. There ya go. I hope you both filled your gullets with enough attention for the evening.

Where did I state that we should be discussing the hungry and persecuted? Anyone with an ounce of intelligence should be able to see that I mentioned them solely for purposes of comparison, to help accentuate my point, which is that it's odd that some people are moved to tears over Mike Brown.

Two people agreeing that something ridiculous is ridiculous is ass-kissing?

It's nothing to do with high and mighty, I just find it weird that people can be moved to tears by a millionaire missing some games.

It's ludicrous how defensive you people are getting over this.

LOL. I has everything to do with you think your shit doesn't stink and you know it. WTF does his salary have to do with it anyway? Is his passion for the game less legit because he was successfull and he made some money?

I don't require any attention. Put me on ignore if you wish. I was always opposed to the Bears holding on to Brown after it was evident he couldn't shake the injury bug.

His plight isn't bad. About 30 seconds prior to speaking all heartbroken-ey about his injuries, he was talking about how awesome his life is and how he couldn't be more happy.

When was it evident to you? And why didn't you inform Halas Hall immediately with your inside information. I blame you for not winning that championship in 2006. Can you tell us how Jay Cutler will end up?

And putting you on ignore would imply some significance. I usually just skim your posts and move on with my wonderful life. Lucky for you I'm here to oblige your thirst for attention.

I thought they got my messages I left on the CBMB but apparently not.

I'm not a fortune teller but if I had to guess, it ends with Jay being an average QB and no SB ring but, again, that doesn't have to be a bad thing as he'll be very wealthy from it all.

Maybe people will be moved to tears when he talks about the NFCC against GB in an interview ten years from now.

Do you think he might make commercials about leather gloves and maybe star in a movie with Jim Carey about football? You mean he might end up like 97% of all NFL qb's? Hmmmmm.....maybe you are a fortune teller after all!

Dan Marino, he ain't but being an average QB in the NFL today pays extremely well so you need not cry for him no matter what he does after football.

I'll save my tears for the impoverished people bearmick says we should care about. Jay Cutler on the other hand, he's got a good life. Playing for a great team, with a hot wife, and a young healthy son. Am I giving you both enough attention? I don't want to show favoritism. I'm trying my darnedest to make sure you are both fed.

I don't know about the hot wife part but all these players should be thankful they're paid so well to play a fun game and only 16 games at that.

Speaking of Marino, I don't think he ever averaged much more than 5 mil per year and early on in his career he was making around 500k a year. While that's nothing to scoff at it gives you an idea of how NFL salaries have spiked in a relatively short amount of time. I don't know how any player could be anything but thankful.

Not like I want to be captain obvious here but 500k in Marino's day was a lot. Inflation is a *****.

It's all relative to the times. Personally, I look forward to football season every year. Given the technology and improvements in training, these guys are getting faster and stronger. Having a guy like Cutler (who does indeed have a hot wife and a healthy child) who can throw the ball like a cannon is mounted on his shoulder is awesome. I mean they guy has got to have a 12 inch **** also. Doesn't that make you envious???

With all of the injuries increasing in severity, and all the risks these guys take............I don't know how any fan could be anything but thankful!!!!
