3500 yards 24 TD 10 INT 60.5% and 88 rating, which if he does, he's a steal. We aren't drafting a QB at #3 so anyone with that delusion needs to let it go.

You could just cut out 3 holes in a garbage bag.

4,050 yards
32 tds
10 ints

Gets extension after week 6 of 2018 season. Unlikely success story.

I don't think he lasts at QB for the whole year. By game 5 he is benched after going 1-4, 4 TDs/9 Int

What is going to be Mike Glennon's stat line for 2017?

It could change depending on further additions but I would bank on -

530 attempts, 3800 yards, 24 TD's, 11 INT's, 62% completion percentage and Mike Glennon wins a few guys over with his play on this board.

He isn't a bum QB, he just isn't going to be a star in this league.

My prediction for his stats are that for anyone who was unhappy because they though Hoyer was a "dink and dunker", they're going to see what an actual dink and dunker looks like.

Glennon has a bigger arm than Hoyer.

I've been a fan of Glennon for a while. And I've wanted us to trade for him for a while. First year, i think we see something in the range of 3500 yards 24 TD 9 INT. To go with Jordan Howard's 1500 yards rushing. The big question is our WRs and TEs. I know some of our WRs have potential, but there are so many question marks now. I like Glennon. I believe.

I hope so, but I think Fox somehow screws that up.

As long as he has less than 20 combines turnovers he is an improvement over Jay.

If he has more than 16 TDs, he's an improvement on Hoyer as well.

Excerpt from a 2013 piece that compared Glennon to Matt Ryan....while their size, weight and college numbers are similar, the closing paragraph tells a story of something that we are all too familiar with.

Mike Glennon(from sports-reference.com):

Year School Conf Class Pos Cmp Att Pct Yds Y/A AY/A TD Int Rate
2011* North Carolina State ACC JR QB 283 453 62.5 3054 6.7 6.9 31 12 136.4
2012* North Carolina State ACC SR QB 330 564 58.5 4031 7.1 6.9 31 17 130.7

Matt Ryan(from sports-reference.com):

Year School Conf Class Pos Cmp Att Pct Yds Y/A AY/A TD Int Rate
2006* Boston College ACC JR QB 263 426 61.7 2942 6.9 6.6 15 10 126.7
2007* Boston College ACC SR QB 388 654 59.3 4507 6.9 6.5 31 19 127.0

What does Glennon have to work on?

Now obviously Mike Glennon isn't Matt Ryan or he wouldn't have lasted to the third round, especially not in what is a really weak quarterback class. Most of his issues relate to footwork and reacting to pressure. Too often, Glennon throws an ill-advised pass off his back foot in the face of pressure. And much, much too often he takes a sack where he doesn't need to because he holds on to the ball too long. Those are two issues he has to fix. The third issue: the bad decision making.

The Bears do not fully believe in Glennon......the contract proves this.......

That is smart on the Bears part..

I will guess 3800 yards 24 TDs and 14 Ints

64%, this offense is built to create completions.

4000 yards, it also chews up yardage Barkley/Hoyer were putting up huge yards.

22 TDs, the passing game is not good in the red zone

12 Ints, Glennon is actually pretty decent at protecting the ball and a run game/play action helps to create easy completions.

The Bears offense picked up a couple speed guys . They did not really have this before. Cutler was more of a jump ball QB, not hitting a speed guy in motion. The Bears signaled they are trying to create more space and hit players in motion.....I honestly don't know how this will affect the overall game.

The Bears failed in the redzone......I looked up Glennon's stats in the redzone and I am not impressed....

The two years where there were sample sizes big enough were actually not great...

In 2013 Glennon's completion percentage was 41%, In between Geno Smith and Chad Henne....Tampa Bay, that year, was bad in red zone TDs.......Glennon however did not throw any picks........

In 2014 Glennon's sample size was smaller, but just this short of horrible........

Tp put it into perspective, Cutler was better than Glennon both of those years.

Bears may get some speed guys which can help between the 20's, but they better get a guy that can go up and get the ball in traffic because Glennon sucks in the red zone. Or they need to run the shit out of the ball at the goal line.

The more I see this Bears team construction, the more I see a TE and a QB in round 1 and 2 of the draft.
