Everybody is missing something. That was one SPECTACULAR pass by the OD-man. Im not sure Ive ever seen someone pass over a defender in hockey. Watch the replay, he saw Stalberg up ice and played it high off the boards to him. GREAT pass.

thats the best part of the play. the stalberg pass was what it was...a easy pass. what made it happen was his legs...after that the worst hands in the league make that pass 9/10

He has been playing well the last few weeks. If Q would quit mind fucking him every chance he gets, maybe he would be a little more confident all the time. Someone commented earlier that the team seems to play better D in front of Emery. I think that they do so because they feel that they have to. I think they feel more comfortable in front of Crawford, therefor taking it a little too easy sometimes. Maybe that is just what I see from time to time though.

Oh Dewey, come over to the dark side and admit your love for Stalgod. You know it will make you feel better to just come out and admit that deep down you love him as a player. :hawkstroll:

Good night guys. Nice to see some people actually show up for an IGT, even if it did take a playoff game for it to happen. See you all next game.

Was at the game and it just didn't really feel like a playoff game until OT hit. The atmosphere just wasn't there and I think a lot of it had to do with a real choppy game with no flow for the most part.

Bickell looked great and loved seeing him get that OT winner. That third line is going to be crucial in the Blackhawks going far. When the Blackhawks won the Cup their core was great but their depth made a huge difference as well.

Can't wait for some more playoff hockey. Have to figure after last night that both teams will be in the swing of things come Friday. I expect the Blackhawks to come out and get going right away this time though.

Was at the game, so I don't know if they showed this on TV. Anyone else see this? The best part about this is that the gif doesn't even do it justice. He continued to wipe out on his way to the bench, it was painfully hilarious to watch. I've had half of my steel break before and those first few seconds of not knowing why you can't skate are frustrating as hell. Rupp seemed to know right away but just couldn't figure out how to get the job done...until he went for the army crawl.

hawkposter very quick to let us know he was at the game. 3 posts in one IGT about it, 2 being pretty much right next to each other.

My last post was simply because I didn't know if they showed it on TV.

You are really trying to rag on me for being at the game and including that in my post on the game? I gave my opinion on how the atmosphere felt and then brought up something that I was unsure if they showed on tv or not.

How awesome is that? What a ***** of a post.

Well the post was made into a ***** because it was best to emulate what it was directed towards.

Yup...I'd be concerned with those posts...clearly they were just begging to be called out. Idiots. One doesn't even know about hockey and the other should be perma-banned after a bet and not able to talk about hockey here. Quality stuff...sorry that my innocent hockey posts (quoted above) bring out a select few idiots.

Might have been said already but massive props to Crawford for bouncing back after that BAD goal he gave up. He came up huge, especially in OT on that Parise shot...I thought the game was over right there

You know, I ragged him a bit after the soft goal but the reality is that it's not the first time he's done this. I think that's one of his biggest assets this season....file the bad goals under crap and move on. He got better as the game went on and it was a good thing he was because this wasn't one of the Hawks better team efforts.

I keep going back and looking at the replay of Bickell's goal and Im just awestruck by Oduya's off the glass pass to Stalberg. You know sometimes you just get lucky but if you watch the replay close...he looks up, sees Stalberg breaking open and pounds the pass up & over the Wild defenseman....just incredible. Given the situation...it might just be the NHL play of the year.
