Nope this was a case of the star player leaving town because he WANTED to, kind of like what a player did here in 1998. Steinbrenner doesn't take to kindly to players making demands...matter of fact, you think he would make an exception for Jordan as far as shaving goes? What if Jordan wanted a beard? Steinbrenner is called "The Boss" for a reason. And Steinbrenner is has much more capital to spend with less restraints. Reinsdorf doesn't spend recklessly. You should appreciate that...Cubs fan.
