Wade doesn't have the rings.
not the point
What is the point then?
that wasnt the basis of my comparison
i was looking more at style of play....
wade plays alot like jordan used to play
kobe is more old-jordan(relies more on the jump shot...more smooth and savvy at this point than just overpowering you with speed and athleticism..not that kobe isnt)
if you're going by career comparsion..then ya kobe's not a bad comparison..but actual style of play is a different story
d wade's 06 finals was like watching jordan in a heat uniform...
Kobe over his whole career has looked like Jordan in a Lakers uniform. Not just to people like myself...but to the coaches who coached Jordan. Wade isn't as capable a scorer as Jordan was...if you are comparing Wade to the early 1990's Jordan. I don't think Wade could do the things Jordan was doing back then.
i disagree...my opinion..and its not to say kobe resembles jordan...especially considering he does try to mimic him a bit
i never said wade was as a capable a scorer as jordan...me comparing wade to jordan, of course, does not nearly mean wade is on jordan's level...
you mean kobe right? you are right he did try to mimic him...and he is reminiscent of jordanI think many people dislike Jordan...but think about why. I disliked him...because he dared to play like Jordan. And no, he doesn't mimic him a bit, for the first 12 or so years of his career, he mimicked him a lot! Pippen noticed it and ridiculed him. Jordan's agent spoke about it.
i think your kinda missing the point here.....its not about careers and accomplishments...in that aspect kobe is much more reminiscent of jordan(although kobe actually isnt the best finals performer while jordan is one of the best if not the best...not to say kobe isnt bad by any stretch though)Wade is Wade...Kobe is a Jordan doppelganger. And Kobe was so good at it that some have him ranked as high as #2 on their list of all time greats.

perhaps it is more in recent years, but i have always felt that kobe is a freak athlete, but reminds me of an older jordan with the fade away jump shot that he loves....while kobe isnt a prolific 3 point shooter he is a guy that really mixes it up and has a finesse jump shooting aspect of him..i believe kobe still holds the record for most 3s in a game
kobe is a fantastic athlete one of the best, but it can be argued that he doesnt exhibit as much as jordan did or wade
wade has always been a guy who's relies on his athleticism to make nice plays near the bucket...that is one of the biggest things about wade compared with jordan...jordan and wade for a bit of their careers were not the greatest jump shooters but more than compensated for this with an incredible ability to get to the lane...they not only had incredible athleticism but used it consistently
with respects to kobe who is a great defender...wade is just a terror....he's 6'5(hell 6'4) yet he is so good at utilizing his athleticism in defense that he is a capable shot blocker and also a guy who can cover the perimeter well and disrupt the passing lanes....again i see a parallel with jordan
am i saying kobe isnt like jordan at all? absolutely not..i'd say he's pretty damn close to jordan as well...but imo i think wade's style is a slightly better fit compared to jordan
I definitely see parts of Jordan in Wade's game. But it is more the brashness of his game than technical skill. In Kobe, I see both.
