Why?

EDIT: I'll delete my sig when DCGuy admits how stupid that statement was. Until then, it stays in infamy. If you'd like to give me reasons why I should change it, feel free to pm. I don't want to tie down hou's thread anymore.

Is there some kind of etiquette concern with that post that I am not aware of? I know that post existed, it was one of the more infamous posts that I remember seeing. Just trying to get educated on that. I really don't know.

And the thread is not being tied down. I am not that picky over a thread I start...plus Fisch is a homie. Maybe if it was two posters I disliked I would get upset. But it really doesn't bother me.

Fisch thinks that I look like a moron because I'm quoting a post that was later deleted. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I am the moron, and not the person that I am quoting.

I think it's moronic because DCGuy admitted he was in the wrong by deleting his post, and I think you should do the same with your sig.

You are definitely referring to recent years with Kobe. In his prime, he was just as athletic around the basket as Wade, and a better on ball defender. Kobe physically, technically and competitively mirrors Jordan. Wade is....Wade. I wouldn't really compare his game to Jordan's anymore than I would Drexler's or Richmond's or even McGrady.

i'm not arguing that kobe isnt incredibly athletic...i'm more or less arguing how much it is used

i think on ball defense is debatable...they both are terrific...wades dominates more athletically on defense...and that reminds me a bit of jordan...

kobe is a little more finesse...i think wade is also looking to make contact plays...this is a function of his reliance on athleticism to get to the basket

i'm not going to argue that kobe doesnt resemble jordan..because that's completely Special person...kobe is very like jordan...but i honestly think wade's style is a little closer

I have said the exact same thing for years now. Kobe is the only player comparable to Michael. Kobe is also the only player who has a chance at taking MJ's title as the GOAT. I know a lot of you will refuse that idea, but that's your problem. I couldn't agree with MJ anymore.

Negative.

I agree with Jordan and I'm glad he came out and said it. Kobe is the closest thing ever to Jordan. Is Kobe MJ though? No but he's the closest thing since MJ.

Like I said directly after that, some of you will disagree but that's your problem.
Oh, it's not a problem.

Kobe will never replace Jordan as the greatest of all time. That in itself is just laughable for people to even think it. Kobe is great and all. But, wow, replacing Jordan? That must be some new type of crack people smoking.

I agree Kobe is the only guy that comes close in todays NBA. He isnt near the complete player Jordan was but they are similar in many ways.

Yes, Kobe is the only one who has demonstrated enough to be close to Jordan. Kobe is one who's had that killer instinct and drive and determination to win like Jordan did. They havent had the same careers or same situations. Kobe is not as good as Jordan and never will be, but still there is a lot to compare. LeBron was a guy everyone thought would be close to Jordan, but he shot all chance of that by signing with Miami.

I think at this point in Kobe's career, it is safe to say he will not surpass Jordan to be the greatest ever. Kobe is in his mid thirties. I do happen to believe he is as complete a player as Jordan was...however, he is not as gifted physically as Jordan was and he is not as mentally tough as Jordan was. People say he is...but he is not.
